Not a single time was i EVER embarrassed for using these!! After an incident with my extremely active son i never went out without it again until they were older. I would rather have people looking at me sideways with my babies safely on a "leash" than to be crying at my child's funeral. I never needed it for my daughter but BOTH of my boys were like those little toys you wind up and they go all over the place every time we go out...every kid is different so they may not be for everyone but these things are a BLESSING!!!!
