I’ve bought one of these today. Apparently the settings are all quite low. I’ve heard that the ‘low’ setting is more of a ‘keep warm’ setting. Any tips?
I use medium for stews. You really have to experiment.
Using the controller to set the thickness of the probe (at 08:34) it seems possible to modify it with steps of 1 mm only !! That seems very strange, could you please confirm ?

I have had mine for a couple months now and its been great. Now, all of a sudden the Y motor has decided its going to go in the wrong direction! Any ideas why it would suddenly decide to change its mind? I have made no changes to the machine in the time I have had it, but today it changed its mind... very frustrating!
If only one stepper motor is moving in the wrong direction, it is probably faulty and needs to be replaced. Also check the wiring and that the plugs are properly seated. If both stepper motors are moving in the wrong direction, you can fix that by changing the $3-Direction port invert mask setting. github.com/gnea/grbl/blob/master/doc/markdown/settings.md#3--direction-port-invert-mask

Since I connected this NVR to my Sagemcom F@ST 3896 cable modem/router, I've noticed that my internet speeds are really slow. Is it possible to operate this without connecting it to the modem/router? I don't use the app.

Agree user manual is disappointing. I'm no tech guru but I have them working with default settings. Still trying to figure out couple thing have 2 camera that fog up every day and stay that way for hours. Then a different 2 cameras that dont take good night vision. When i get that set up i can work on alarms. though they were supposed to spot light dectected movement for better views.

Long enough that you could put the machine on a table and the control box on a shelf underneath it.

I'm doing this and when I send it to Z0 it goes down but stops about 4mm above the material, xe-pro machine with the same probe. Why? thanks!
No idea but try jogging the z axis by ( for example) 10mm or 1” and then measure how far it has actually moved. If it has moved the correct distance then measure the thickness of the touch plate and change the gcode to this value. Example: G92 Z14.95. For a height probe of 14.95mm. You can also type in each command individually and then check what happens. If the jogged distance is different then you need to recalibrate the z axis and change the grbl steps/mm setting.

I started my build today. My instructions said not to install the rubber feet if I want it to be more stable.
I cant remember seeing that but it worked fine with the feet installed anyway.

No, the CL-6560 doesn't have linear rails like the Vasto however it is pretty good.
