Tree fity
Very interesting
Nice edit.
Thanks!
It's worth a hell of a lot more then the value of the lumber that comes from it
In the past, the logs were cut by the logger, the logger brings them to where they are auctioned, or brought to the mill. Then money is paid to the landholder. Whom pays for road repair, is a matter of debate, but usually the logger, unless the loggers wife is pregnant, lol.
Heard "Communist understanding" 😂
Thanks for the info.
You bet!
Brian is the whitetail man! This man knows his stuff. Hope you are doing well and take care man.
I use to build sketchy tree stands like that made of wood way up in the Y of a tree
Never trust a timber buyer
I use wax paper
🇺🇸🕊🇺🇸🕊🇺🇸🕊🇺🇸
I tell you right now, a tree is worth al hell of a lot more than money
White oak aint worth 💩 in washington. No mills will buy it.
True that
You packed a lot of information into that five minute video.
May GOD and HIS Holy SON JESUS bless the both of you for saving THEIR beautiful creature.
more timber guy please he seems cool
Never trust a Venner Company To be honest
The value of a tree. Certainly more than you
What Ellis was doing before the outbreak
Sad!
I know an Amish guy that owns a sawmill in my town. He is a millionaire. The guys cutting the trees, and driving the skidders and log trucks are not.
Nice shot
If the price is a secret and it's putting someone on the spot to reveal it, you're dealing with deception and dishonesty.
I love learning from folks who have been around a minute or two, and give you straight answers to straight questions. Thanks for sharing the video and knowledge.
I love how the logger down plays all of it, like there’s no money in it, low grade flooring, gonna be used for stays on a truck bed, stuff like that. His stuttering and saying “ah” a lot tells me he’s not giving the whole story…
There are no defects in trees. There are only defects in humans.
Can/will they attack dogs or people I came outside maybe 1 hour ago and heard this a bunch of times I have a Dalmatian but confused lol
Heck yeah!! Love big body bruisers
Well that just got me pumping for season to come!
Now that’s a stud.
It always come down to greed
Then why is the land owner allways the lowest piad?
I had a friend who was offered $8000/tree back in the 1980s, but they were black walnut and he didn't sell.
“Timber harvest for wildlife” ?! They turned it into a desert. Nothing has any cover there, it’ll be much drier in the area. And weeds and junk trees will take hold in spring.
The problem is people clear cutting a whole forest. Geez man leave a few for animals to have cover getting from field to field. It’s not corn. That forest is never coming back. Also if you think you can take all those nutrients that make a big oak out of the soil and have just the same nutrients as before you’re crazy.
What bout ants 🐜 getting into the bait?
Not much you can do to prevent that and in our experience, hasn't lessened the success of setting the trap this way.
North Texas there’s not much value in oak
After my house was built I went to the local lumber supplier and bought 12 planks of 2" thick White Oak. I built an 8ft dining room table and bench out of it that will be our forever table.
I caught an armadillo in one like that once. I dunno how big it was because it went through the back of the cage and looked like a cannon had been shot through it.
Do not buy White Oak! These trees take decades to grow and we need them in the ground, not on your countertop. Better time would be spent planting a tree... and planting trees is much more rewarding! Cheers!
Not sure why YT sent me here, but it was quite interesting, thanks
Nice video. What kind of a life trap is that?
Furniture grade construction grade and industrial grade 😊
I wanted a logger to come and get about two dozen large oaks, he said he would charge me a couple of thousand dollars
Loggers are theives
Just like the high grade walnut all the high grade Wideoak is now going to China in the Pacific rim ….We are basically selling them every stick of top quality lumber that comes out of the United States got put in the shipping containers and on to chips some of the ships have sawmills write on them processed the wood dump everything over the side they don’t want back into port to pick up more Logs… It just happens to be another way we are fucking ourselves by selling China all of our past lumber
Tornados are happier
If there is no sawmill around, they cost money to get rid of. We found that out. Stay safe.
