Great stage set, interesting build up to the aria but he doesn’t make use of the stage
As we now have the dedicated enthusiasts who remaster the old 78 vynal records, I look forward to the tech wizards who will clean these recordings up and restore them to perfection. The sound is there , just the visuals too concentrate on and they deserve to be seen. Again sir I can’t thank you enough for posting.

Corría el año 89’ había ingresado a trabajar al Municipal de Santiago en el área de utilera de escenario, tenia 20 años recién cumplidos y mi segunda ópera en trabajar tras bambalinas fue “El barbero de Sevilla”, recuerdo los ensayos transcurrieron tranquilos sin mayores sobresaltos, pero en el ensayo general Rockwel Blake se manda el aria del primer acto, la sala se viene abajo!!! Que calidad por Dios!! Fui testigo de este portento de la ópera mundial!!! Aún se me eriza la piel al recordarlo!!!! Fui muy afortunado tras bambalinas….
Che bello sarebbe poter ascoltare tutta l'opera. Canonici se lo meriterebbe!🎉🎉🎉

She kind of went "out of fashion" in the 80's and to be honest I cant quite work out why. She was in great form at this time - I heard her in Chenier and Vespri around mid/late 80's and she was excellent
