    First of all, the frame looks fantastic. Second of all, I took welding in shop class, 8th grade 1981. We were mostly farm kids, so most of us already knew how to lay a bead down with a rod from a a tombstone Lincoln welder that everybody seemed to have on the farm. But since then I've done everything with my MIG. I was given a 180 amp AC Dayton (rebadged century) by a friend, I used it to do some welds outside on a mower and found that all those years MIG welding had caused me to completely forget how to strike and hold an arc with a rod! 😮

    yes mig welding and new style welding rods has made it so easy for everyone to weld. plus the welders have gotten smaller and affordable too. now most farmers have nice shops and tools because they can't afford other people to work on their equipment. thansk

    Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ I'm thinking that frame is coming along so well I want to see it done now not in the winter 😞 Ah yes winter maybe tomorrow for you guys 😁. Xena, your blueberry jam looks good, and it's always nice to see your smiling face 😊 my scanner is unable to read the PCM of the head hanger Joey. In other words the computer went to the electronic graveyard in the sky 😭 luckily last time around when I was having issues I picked up the same one that's in the truck right now to replace the old one and it wasn't the problem. I'm going to switch them out this morning and let you know what happens tomorrow 👍 as always thanks for a great video guys ✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦

    Hey Mr. King of Obsolete, A low of 7°C expected in Flint, Michigan Tuesday & high of 20°C. We're spota move back up to normal by Friday. I recall very cool nights as a teenager out fishing all night. I was so skinny I needed a jacket or I was shivering. The lake water felt warmer than my hands. Also Too: 1 very warm year, 1988, temps at midnight were 30°C for like 15 days in a row. OK, back to regularly scheduled weather. Eh! ben/ michigan

    Just FYI, the motor leans back in a camaro or nova chassis, if you drop a plumb bob down the front (driverside of the water pump) between the bolt bosses and freeze plug there is a 5/8" gap at the top, string line touching the bottom edge of the block between the bolt bosses an. Just popped into the garage to check with my Nova, and just a quick and dirty since I did not check level of the frame rail (too much junk in the way) , on a concrete floor, tires on it, short level across the two control arm bolts (not the nuts) the REAR bolt is 1-1/4" lower than the front bolt. When I get ambitious I can set it so the underbody frame rails are level and remeasure the height difference on the control arm bolts. But something to workwith in the mean time if lacking better measurements and reference points.

    This is going to get dicey, so bear with me because this might get disappeared for words. If you go to the well known place on the internet ORGanization known for archive in the magic box you will want "GM Fisher Body Factory Repair Shop & Service Manual 1973" Yes, 1973 because the only other ones are later 70's and not of any use for this. In section 3, underbody, page 86 of the fancy document reader look at X-body dimensions. NOT F-body. Upto and including 1974 the nova used the same subframe as the 67-69 camaro. Its about a 90meg download if you do not want to read it online.

  • @alexb.1320
    @alexb.1320Күн бұрын

    The f-body changed subframes for the 1970MY. Anyway, something else for you; if you utilize the famous engine to look for images, put this in "1969 camaro frame reference diagram" it'll jump out at you right away, for me its the 1st and 2nd image. Its a post on team camaros forum.
