Brent Hutchinson

Welcome to my channel!

Hi I am Brent Hutchinson a guy that took a leap and went out into the world with my guitar and no idea!
Years later and I'm still doing it so I decided to do a Daily Vlog to show how I am doing. Hopefully I can inspire you to follow your dreams no matter what they are. I did around 100 days vlogging and no one was really interested so I have now developed this channel into a guitar mod build music gig vlogs and stuffs

I also do gear reviews and hacks, I show you how to set up your guitars and I have advice on what I do to keep myself working full time as a musician which could help you do the same. I have live and studio footage of my music and my take on covers too.

EVERYDAY IS A DIFFERENT DAY!

Subscribe to my channel and join me on my journey.!!!

Hope you enjoy your time here

Peace and Love
Brent

Great playing. I could tell the big block was in the second one. It's not a "OMG what a difference" but it's enough of a difference i can tell. A little more clarity to the notes.

*This is one very wicked one-of-a-kind mod! lol* Fortunately for me, my formal scientific education is in electrical/electronics engineering giving me a ton of advantages for mods, upgrades and repairs but this sideways one still took me by surprise! lol *Anyway, a cheap mod for single coils is cutting a piece of sheet metal for the back and gluing it onto the magnets. This reflects more of the field toward the strings and you get easily 2-3x the ouput.* After this mod, you can go ahead and add R-C network filters because the voltage they consume to shunt out of the signal doesn't make the pickups output power severely compromised the way stock passives will if you add these passive filters. *I'm an advocate for actives in every guitar but I'm also designing each active modules around the guitar itself as opposed to buying something.* If your active module is Class-A and without filters, your signal sounds identical to when it was passive except it has 20x the voltage output.

With the tone turned to the bass, I would have believed you were playing a Dreadnought, really BIG sound! with it turned all the way to treble, it sounded pretty bluesey. Midway it sounded very much like an electric with no effects. What a versatile little box the APXT2 is! BTW, I just loved your intro number, which confirmed it's Blues chops to me.

I bought the exact guitar while on holiday in Cromer . It’s a lefty though and plays and sounds fantastic. Thanks for posting. You play really great. Lucky I came across this guitar. It cost me £119 but it was worth it.

I know exactly what you mean, I go through this way too many times, the only bridge that I haven't break strings on is a Floyd Rose, my theory is that there is only about 1/8 inch that is locked at the saddle, so there is less play, where on a strat, you have about 1 1/2 from the ball end to the saddle, great video my friend, keep on Rocking, Rock On & God Bless.

A review of a microphone with reverb is always a bad idea. Maybe if you add reverb at the end of your demo on a song, but you are starting your speech test with reverb. Please don't do that.:) I came for a dry mic test and ended up skiping your video. Good luck with you future reviews!

I got a external footswitch, and I attempted to use the footswitch to change memories, but now if I hit the switch, it change like 5 memories at a time instead of just 1 per tap of the footswitch.

I have been playing electric and acoustic for years. This guitar plays very nicely for soloing and chords. I disagree that it sounds better with an amp. There is plenty of punch with dry sound. The size and portability really sells this guitar. I have a yamaha guitlele which is fantastic for the money and plays like a flamenco....

I have a Prener PM in my Fender acoustic. Having both a piezo and a mic in the setup makes the difference. There are 2 versions of this preamp out there. Some kits has only the bridge piezo (no blend slider) and no receiver jack for a 3.5mm (1/8") mic plug-in. The under-the-bridge piezo by it's self is quite "tinny" (works good with hot effects on). The blend slider mixes the two inputs. Makes all the difference. Very full sound. The mic loves to go into feedback. Adding a sound hole plug is a must if you get even close to the amp speakers (ten feet). Turning the tuner ON or OFF makes a "pop" from the amp if volume is not turned all the way down. The preamp is ON even with the tuner's power button OFF. There is no OFF switch for the preamp as far as I can tell. Manufacturer claims turning volume to zero "turns OFF" preamp. I remove the easy-to-get-to 9V battery when done playing. Cutting up your $500.00 guitar can be scary. Buy two kits and install first one in a cheap guitar to get the hole sizes just right then do your sweet baby with this gained knowledge. Be very careful positioning the main box so as to match the curves of preamp to your guitar perfectly. I cut the holes using only an exacto knife. Easy to slip and wreck the finish. Take your time.

I always break my D string in the spot where the saddle ends. Our gig is usually 3 hours long, and my string lasts about 3 gigs. I tried every string I could get hands-on, DR, GHS, Ernie Ball, Daddario, Elixir, Dunlop and apart from Elixir (only lasted half a gig!) every string was similar. My gauge is 10-46, these saddles are the last option for me to reduce breaking. Very sad to see that they didn't solve your problem. Apart from these, that's some nice playing man!
