Super high crime rate ??
Referring to peoples homes as not a lot there when it’s completely urbanized sounds stupid. When you say not a lot there, I imagine trees not peoples homes.
I drove up to Asheville with my family one day because I loved it 20 years ago. The first thing we saw was a bunch of wealthy entitled white college kids protesting. We turned around and left without even stopping to eat or use the bathroom.
Your Killing Me Smalls....LMAO
Yas! Which part!?
@@livinginasheville Loving your videos and the humor built into them. The videos really filling my noggin with ideas.
Now that Florida is infested with Trump Nazis the cool kids are all moving away to friendlier places like anywhere but Florida😂
All smoking mirrors asshole has gotten to be too big for its riches how do you let out of towners dictate your price and look down on locals it's not affordable anymore where are the jobs that pay this money that you can afford to stay somewhere
Current Asheville is what happens to an area once rich progressives get their hands on an area. It becomes unrecognizable. Now it's just another liberal **** hole.
I’ve seen the mountains change so much in my lifetime. The mountain culture and accents are dwindling away as the newcomers move in, bring their influence, drive up housing prices, drive out locals whose families have lived there since the 1700’s. Will the rich heritage we held onto through story telling and music survive? Makes me sad. 😢
I sure hope so. Everything lives on through us all.
Want to see the world of Marshall, NC!
I sense some satire here.
I just love you and your associate describing Ashville and the areas of Western NC! You do a great job!
Well, thank you much, David! We enjoy it and glad you do too. 😊
Only the black ice in the hills on the roads sometimes! If you are quessy, take your dramamine like you are going on a cruise! Tried to take my wife up the mountain roads to the Blue Ride Mountains! I wanted to show her where I spent my summers in the 1950's, (Newport, TN, and Bybee, TN), Pigeon Forge River fishing at night for Cat Fish with my older cousin Rodger! Just saying that life in the hills of NC, and TN was a real adventure in my youth over 60 years ago!
Sounds like a fun adventure even now!
Good show ladies, I love Ashville, We visited the Biltmore Estate for over 25 years! Prices in Asheville are as crazy as they are in Florida, and half as crazy as in Ohio!
You crack me up! Yes, Biltmore prices, like everything everywhere, have definitely risen.
Franklin is cheaper
It is, yep.
Every body now found out about Waynes ville and Hendersonville, alot of Floridiots have moved up there , as I waiting to find a better smaller mountain town that not that any NE people or floridiots know about it yet . Most people that owned shops in down town Waynes ville are from South Fla .
Oh, interesting…
Been there many times....Nice...nothing to do...
It really is nice. We round some stuff to do but also not doing much! 😊
I figured it was the smell of patchouli that was running some people off. LOL
We add droplets to the French Broad River here to tint the air! 😅🙌
You couldn't pay me to live in Asheville! Moved to Hendersonville, NC in 2014 from Naples, Florida. Nice small town feel with everything still within 10 minutes. Brevard just a little to far away from I-26. Not a bad place, but just a little off the beaten path.
You found your place! I love that. There there are so many different areas here and there’s really a certain place for everyone.
It’s going woke, that is why they are leaving
Maybe so! 🙌💓
My wife was so sick after taking her to Lake Lure, she spent the entire day in the motel after driving the twists and turns up the road! And she really stressed out when we had the Black Ice on I40 and I26! Well, we are still here in Ohio!
Do you all have any snow or ice in Ohio? Yes some people get so carsick. I’m very lucky with that but usually I’m the one driving anyway.
I love Ashville, NC, I love Savannah, GA. The prices for one level living for retirees in their 70's seems to be out of reach!
It could be. I would say it would be about $300 to $500,000.
Blue tooth mirrors in the bathroom looks like.
Yeah, very well could be.
TO Many Tourist
Every little town around here is so very different and it’s funny how some have a lot of tourists too and some don’t.
This town on the outskirts and the nature very cool but inside the city to me at least reminds me of a dump that they don't know what to do with. People claim it's a "fun" place but it's trashy.. graffiti and trash and no where I would want to take kids. The state of North Carolina is beautiful. But this town is the last place I would want to live.
I have kids here and I’m not having the same experience. There are certain times of the year where you do see trash places. I agree with you on that. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with that though if it’s the Bears or people just throwing things around. But when I take my kids out and about, I do not feel unsafe.
$625k for that tiny home??? That’s absolutely insane.
I think it is because of the extra land and river view but curious to see what it sold for.
@@livinginasheville it’s still for sale as of today
Please do a tour of Bat Cave, especially in the Fall for Halloween - that goes for Transylvania County as well (Brevard) ⚰️🎃🕸️🦇
Good idea! Thank you! 😊
craft beer hub, exceptional views, always music venues, Biltmore and Grove Park Inn, all surrounded by the Appalachians... (the Blue Ridge Parkway goes right through it)... I would visit a decade before when everyone had dogs and the restaurants stood out, then I moved there in 2022-23... very expensive and turning liberal very quickly, and work was hard to find. one downfall for growth is the road system, there is only 2 main N to S roads and one is the interstate, they were doing major upgrades when I left, but there's still just 2. And it's very mountainy, so windy, often narrow roads are the norm. (surprised there aren''t more accidents)... and bears are everywhere, which is a positive or negative depends on your view... ( i watched a man shoo a momma and her cubs away from his garbage cans with a broom)
Great comment, thank you so much. There are lots of bears. I see one about every two weeks. It doesn’t phase us nor does it phase the Bears. Here’s a weird thing, though, I have never seen a bar and Candler. I’m curious if anyone has?
She seems quite happy the locals are leaving. Fill a town with rich people and then expect the peasants to serve your needs and wonder why they can’t afford 2000$ rent.
I do? You should see who I hang out with.
@@livinginashevillethese comments are ruthless. Kudos to you for doing what you do❤️ even the haters appreciate you which they won't admit!
Ashville voted to give Reparations to Blacks who have never been or seen a Slave. Too Woke. A place where the lazy go for free hand outs and stinking up the place. We considered moving there, but after our last visit we decided no way. Liberal bastion of wokeness.
It was a nice place 20 plus years ago and now it’s crap. Way too many liberals and homeless and the locals are so unhappy and mad.
I am having the opposite experience. I also find that who we are in our personal energy, attracts our perception of the outer world.
When Asheville allowed the downtown desecration of statue; i was DONE 🚫Asheville
Sounds good.
Ashville is the san francisco of the east. The drug users and street people have taken over the streets. Illegals are everywhere also
First of all, Asheville is spelled with an E in the middle of it. Secondly, your comment is far from truth.
Oh,800,000 . Thx. Over my needs . Do have walking dog, like the lake…can do the $700,000. But is there an HOA on top of that?
It will depend on the property for sure so we’d have to look into each individual property. That one in particular is no longer on the market.
We’re looking now…how much?
Hi Ziggy, please reach out and send me an email and let’s talk. It will be much easier than on here. [email protected]
Blue ceilings in the south keep flies & certain bugs away… FYI
Cool! Bonus!
To crowded now
Quiet noob
Heard 😊
Go woke go broke
Haha!
Why dont you mention Allll the public housing thats so near the neighborhoods 😂 Asheville police are to scared to enter but sure move 2 blocks away 💀
Hi I have not done a segment on public housing yet.
Greedy landlords and developers
Heard
your number 5 is my number one
Was a great city but the far left city government has ruined it; reparations, universal basic income, rise in property crime, and drug epidemic has ruined it
We have universal basic income here?
@livinginasheville not yet but the Reparations Commission proposed it last month for eligible black recipients
Asheville has been giving illegal immigrants social security numbers and work permits out the back door for several years now, every construction job is manned with illegals, sorry locals they got your job
How unfortunate that an outsider is producing material like this drawing more outsiders to further trash Asheville and surrounding areas. Asheville was once a very special place but you wouldn't care as long as you get your little piece.
Asheville is still very much a very special place. I’ve Lavern here since 2001. Everything changes, I change, you change, we change. Wishing you peace.
Watch out during pride month cause they can get very physical if you simply dont agree with the lgbtq lifestyle, and if your a republican they also dont like it but the yankees there claim to be tolerant of everything
The yankee liberals are the reason why its so expensive
The yankee liberals have ruined that beautiful city
I saw the old school in Biltmore area. Very cool structure
There are so many cool old structures around here and so so much history.
Thanks for the video :)
My pleasure!
More conservative, churches everywhere: especially Baptist lol Its flatter: the north ashville mountains made me cry
Cry like good?
Because its FLATTER lol
Haha! 😂
haha no thank you
Oh-Kay! 😊✨
