I’m taking a break from my studies to take 2-years to travel the world trying to learn about biodiversity conservation and what this means, looks like and how the current crisis is affecting different communities.

Great video, its important to bring awarness of the ecosystem services vultures provide. I hope to see vulture populations across the Mediterranean recover in the future. Greetings from Spain.

You are romanticizing them. What you show us is definitely wonderful. But it isn't sustaining the whole population. I just finished watching someone else's video showing a food stand where every dish for sale was non-local food and most was bad for health or it was made bad by the cooking. I've spent hours by hospital beds and kidney dialysis centers in Honolulu visiting Micronesians made sick by that food. Then there is the addiction to alcohol and sakau. Heart breaking. I love the Micronesian character. They are sweet, funny, and smart. I almost married into the community. Instead I learned to eat right and take care of my health. My ex, who married someone else, is dead now, as are our other friends who returned home. My health is good and getting better. Not the least because I don't do drugs or eat what was at the food stand. I hope not to be a burden on my community and to teach that a healthy life is possible well into old age. Pohnpei could do that too.

There isn't enough conservation done in Pohnpei that can guarantee sustainability for the future when the government don't enforce it environmental laws dictated by its laws. One can see it clearly around the island these environmental damages, dredge reefs and filled wetlands. It's a shame that creed can overcome preservation of this once a beautiful island! Thanks for your great contribution to Micronesia!

I hope you get the chance to answer my question, thanks

I had no ideal of the money involved, it's to much. I even heard that they go and get these beautiful birds from the arctic and they die after two months in the desert climate. We need more investigations and much more broadcasting of shows focused on this story. The whole world should should hear about this. We don't need birds of prey hunting camps run by billionaires. Is there anything russians won't screw up

Kalahngan Rodney, it comes to light with a paradoxical juxtaposition when a little reminder from someone 'mehn waih' brings us back to the way of the islander. We look at the way we deal with personal trash and we can also realize our departure from the way of the islander. Pohnpeians (and all FSM) must reach into their traditional, spiritual and governmental values and must wake up to our small nation's needs! Preservation!
