If they can get there by dying, it would make some sense that once they die there they "respawn" there in some other part of the place. A in later season the empty even said something to the effect of, angels and demons to me, souls to their places. Monsters have souls so they don't go to her. Death is Darkness and Demons destroy peoples lives Daily. You can kill the body but you cannot kill the soul. Killing anyone makes them powerful in the Demonic Darkness once their souls are conquered by the demons themselves they come back and take the life that took them. If you want to test this theory then break the Karmic Law. I kid you not you will wake up in HELL.

Actually i feel like the show's take on souls and even Heaven is quite interesting. Heaven is not one place but the memories of billions of people and everyone has his/her own heaven. Your soul is you but then so is your body. So take the soul and youre left with a body thats still you but lacks the spark that makes you complete. Hence, youre empty. Even the concept of God in the show is very human, for the lack of a better word. Why doesnt God do anything, is a question im sure many people ask themselves everyday. So the show answers it in the most rational human way possible : God doesnt care. Its not that he's evil or good, but he doesnt care. When God is talking to Lucifer in season 11 he tells him that the Mark just made him more of what he was. Its understandable that Lucifer turned out that way then, since God is also like that. In a way, i think the soul was a breakthrough invention even for God lol. The soul is what drives you to truly care and love. And i think God himself lacks that since he is also soulless.

It’s my head cannon that leviathan have a “true form” similar to those mentioned by angels that is like a camouflage in our world and in an angelic sense corrupting a vessel is them warping a Human Vessel and/or Angelic form to Match that of a predator Maybe they operate like symbiote logic. But not quite to the extent of marvel.

i always thought the mark was a extra-dimensional prison in and of itself, that amara existed WITHIN the mark, and her influence and lust for destruction is what causes the behaviours the bearer must deal with. Removing the mark, breaks open the door, and allows amara to escape. I think the reason amara had the same tat is because the writers thought they'd want to go one direction with it and then later decided that (whatever it was)--it was a dumb idea, so it went nowhere....cause there was nowhere GOOD to go with that element.

To me the way God was defeated doesnt make any sense. Even if Jack could absorb his powers how could they not come back? After all, HE is God, not Jack. And he should continue being God whether his powers are taken away or not. Even if they are taken away, he should just have more of it. Because God is quite literally supposed to be infinite. Therefore Supernatural's version of God is more like the Demiurge and not the actual God.

OG Death went into Lucifer's cage and basically restrained the 2 strongest Archangels in the series, and he did it without any fear or hesitation. Showing that he was not even slightly worry about them, Billie never got that powerful. Like Lucifer even kills a Reaper who inherits death's position from Billie. So its safe to say that, the Reaper does NOT inherits death's power. Just his position and and knowledge.

I believe the Shedims are demons, but instead of being created by a Darkness influenced Lucifer, they were straight created by God or The Darkness themselves. The first true demons, which are likely on par or close to Archangels in terms of strength.

Cain being a demon, but NOT created by Lucifer often goes unmentioned by most Supernatural fans. Because it implies that demons already existed before Lucifer and Lucifer did not actually create them. Or if he did create them, it was because he copied the idea from The Darkness, who was likely influencing him through the mark.

Most simple answer, he actually wasn't a demon. I know the backstory yadda, yadda but even the actor was quoted that his eyes never flashed and that he wasn't actually a demon.

Btw......First, "The Fates" are "The Norns" of Norse mythology, so definitively Pagan. Second.....What about "Death?" he was worshiped as a deity in many Pagan pantheons. Or is Death considered more primordial ? (I saw you didn't cover "The Darkness" either, but that one being a Pagan god is far more arguable IMO).

I wept when American Gods didn't get renewed for more seasons. After Ian McShane's glorious stint playing a saloon owner in "Deadwood," suddenly he was in everything. While incredibly talented, this doesn't mean he's right for all roles and if the story is weak, no actor can save it. In any event, they finally found a new vehicle for him in the form of American Gods where he was again glorious. There were quite a few other stand-outs including Pablo Schreiber, Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, and others. There was even red-hot s__ scenes, both het and gay. Just remarkable all around.

Honestly, the final theory might've just been because Chuck wanted to study how the Mark corrupts the bearer, so he replicates the Mark and gives it to Cain or Dean so they can become tainted by it Then he studies how it affects them in order to understand it

There’s two more methods. Having Jack reforge your soul into an angel. You had a human body so you have a perfectly compatible vessel. You now have all the powers and immunities of an angel, and if Jack made angels as they were originally made, you even get the wings that allow teleportation. Also, it seems to me that those who make demon deals are the ones who are tortured until they become demons, so if you’re really out of options you can always make a demon deal and turn into one when you die, albeit, after a LOT of torture.

I have a personal theory about White Eye demons, and demon promotions in general. Think about this. The Princes seemed very high and mighty, and only really stepped up for big matters. So, who would have tortured the first souls who made deals? Lilith. Now imagine that more souls demons torture, the more powerful they grow, eventually having their eyes turn red, then white. Lilith would have been in charge of the process for a LONG time. With every demon turned, she grew a tiny bit stronger, eventually becoming the strongest. After a time, she may have handed off the role of head torturer to a up and coming genius. Picasso with a razor, a savant of torture, Alastair. He takes over, working and working and working, eventually becoming a white eye demon himself. As for the Shidem, I also have a theory. I imagine that after Chuck sealed Amara away, there may have been remnants of Amara’s power left behind. They may have interacted with some of the first humans, maturing and becoming this monstrous race. After all, Chuck’s powers are based around creation, and look how powerful traces of his power mixed with human souls is. Imagine what destruction oriented powers are. I think of them as the Amara equivalent of Nephilim.

Personally I think that the writer was just winging it after the storys real ending of season 5 and the next 2 or 3 seasons was him buying time to start the next storyline which is why its all kinda cobbled together

Shedim are spirits or demons in the Tanakh and Jewish mythology. Shedim dont correspond exactly to the modern conception of demons as evil entities as originated in Christianity. While evil spirits were thought to be the cause of maladies, shedim differed conceptually from evil spirits. other words old demons form christian belief
