She/Her
Hey there, welcome to my channel! One of the first questions I get about me is "Is Marie Antoinette your real name? Yes it is! Would you believe my brother's names are Mark Anthony and Rafael Antonio? :) I'm a mom and empty nester of 3 adult children and happily in a relationship with my best friend, Jeff who I met 32 years ago at VCU's Performing Arts Program. Although, I am a classically trained singer and have worked in the corporate world for over 21 years, I have enjoyed learning how to design cards for the past 3 years. I now consider myself a Card Designer and have been blessed to be commissioned to make cards. People say my work is "a work of art and love". Tyfs ❤
I have a switch too but I find the BP works much better in a manual BigKick or platinum
So glad to hear of your recovery! Blessings that you continue on your healing path. I am new here and have used eax paper before with the results you mentioned? Ehat a mess and SO time consuming! Can't eait to try the Press & Seal. Will be watching regularly. Thx again?❤
there is a DB volume setting on microphone, I think it was very low to pick the sound.
I increased the volume all the way to the max on the microphone and this was the result
Thanks for the detailed Airtable demo, Marie!
Thank you for watching! If you have any questions you know where to find me.
I wish for good health life for future . So very happy for you , you are operation when very well. Take care of yourself ❤❤️🙏🙏
Thank you so much!
I am currently finishing up putting this on my mats. What I did yesterday was use my heat gun to heat it till shiny then took an old gift card and pressed and drug it across the area I heated and it pressed the cracks back together and the spread got smaller! This will just be another step to make these last longer. Thank you and hope my experiment helps anyone else in need.
Thank you for sharing!
What a neat idea.
Thanks!
I am so excited to use this tip! Thanks so much. Hope you are doing well.
The vent covers are too flimsy so I stick cardboard to the white back with 6 inch double sided tape then put on the dies.
Yep that is what I do also, except I use scor tape.
Love your hair!
Thank you!
I really like this. I have the larger envelope but now I might get the square. 😊
You should! I have all of them and use them all the time
That is so awesome thank you for sharing. Now we can utilize that Father’s Day die for other things.👏👏👏
This was a brand new idea for me! I am so thrilled!
Thank you so much. Wished I knew this last December when I had so many cards I had to struggle with.
Happy to help!
I used rubbing alcohol to clean my plate. Worked fine.mind you, I cleaned the plate right away.
I did not realize you were supposed to cut into the magnetic mat. This alone is so helpful. Congratulations on your recovery. I use Press’n’Seal all the time in my craft room so I will give this a try.
So glad this helped! You’re welcome and thank you on the well wishes!
I love that
Omg, you are a genious. I will be using this tip moving forward. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have fully recovered from your surgery.
Oh, I am so glad to have found your video on this. I too have used the wax paper and it sticks to the back of my paper. You have to peel both of them off, and even sticks to my regular Anna Griffin mat. I'm so glad you are doing well. The surgery sounded very serious, and, in this video, you are such a positive happy gal! I love your videos! I've got some press & seal in my cupboard! Getting it out now! God Bless and looking forward to following you!
I use a single edge razor blade that is in a holder from Ace hardware and scrap lightly, cleans up all ( most) of the little pieces. I diecut a lot a lot and magnetic has lasted a long time. Good video and glad you are recuperating good. Happy crafting!
Thanks for sharing!
Shouldn't you roll the die brush tool on the paper instead of scraping it back and forth to remove the tiny bits of paper?
I feel it’s a matter of personal preference. I don’t like rolling on the backside of the paper because it tends to breakdown the paper and make it curl. It also depends on the paper weight and type of paper. Foiled paper I do recommend brushing on the backside as you do not want to scratch your papers shiny finish.
Owner of Cherry Lynn die company says that Wax paper dulls your dies. So,I would be afraid to use Glad Seal n press. I use Mr Clean magic eraser + rotary brush to clean my dies. Works great. Glad your surgery was successful‼️
You are adorable. Thank you for sharing
😊 thank you
Thanks for all the great tips! We can all learn something new! Yay!!
You are so welcome!
Questions: 1. How many times do you wrap it around ? 2. Do you have to change the wrap every time you run it through the machine? 3. How do you know when it's time to change the wrap? 4. How are you feeling? Comment: Prayers for your continued health. Thanks for helping us fellow crafters (Edited - Spelling Error)
Great questions! 1. When I wrap the magnetic mat I wrap once on the front mat and tuck the ends behind the mat. 2. Nope it stays on indefinitely. 3. The wrap eventually embeds itself in the mat so if you do need to replace it you don’t have to remove the previous wrapping in the front but the back you may have to peel that off. 4. Getting stronger everyday. Resolving some gastric issues and sudden violent migraines but all is good. 11 more days till the wedding! Thanks for asking!
Love your tutorials,
I’m so glad you like them! Thanks for watching! 🤓
Thank you so much for this AMAZING TIP. I am off to my craft room to wrap all my Anna GRIFIN Magnetic plates👏👏
Yay! I’m so glad you love it! Happy wrapping!
Thank you so much for this video! I had never heard of Airtable, so I am thrilled to learn how to use it to organize my craft items! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Did you see I have a link to a copy of my craft Airtable? That way you don’t have to start from scratch.
I am going to try this with my Empress. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Let me know how it goes or you have any questions. 🥰
I don’t use the Spellbinders ink, it’s too expensive and too messy. I prefer using dye ink. I get a very good image without the messy clean up. I’m not sure what cleaners with do to the coating on the plates after time.
Hi so glad you are healthy after surgery. I have a question on the Anna Griffin Empress emboss and diecut machine can you use any embossing folder and diecut with it or just Anna Griffin products?
You can use any embossing folder but your sandwich will change. Have you seen this video? kzread.info/dash/bejne/gGWYr9yBaNa3j6g.htmlsi=lYHGiM4Oz4RyWY1S Because of the thickness of the folders you most likely will not be able to use it with both glass plates. So i would recommend creating your own shims with thicker card stock. As far as using dies other than Anna’s you can buy know dies work best with their manufacturer die machine. It doesn’t mean you can’t use them in the empress but they may cut too much or too little. There isn’t a magic formula. It will take trial and error. Btw. I used my mini empress 80% of the time. I hope that helps. Thanks for watch my video and asking this question! 🙂
I’m so sorry to hear you had to have brain surgery but I’m so happy it was successful and you are back crafting. Thank you for your video. I have Anna’s machine but I also have the Gemini and the Gemini Pro. The Gemini Pro plates are currently stuck in the machine. I contacted the company and sent a video, they said it looks like the gears need to be replaced. Just wondering if you have any tips for getting the plates out. Otherwise I’ll have to purchase the gears and have someone replace them for me. Thank you so much
They are stuck in the Gemini?
Thank you to all who joined me on my live! If you have any questions feel free to comment below.
Wonderful idea!!! I just ordered the Empress today and am so excited! Thank you and glad you’re doing well 💕
Yay! I’m so exited for you! Let me know when you get it and if you have any questions! Thank you on my well wishes!
Glad you're doing good. Thanks for this tip. It works great. Just wish my a and b plates, the hard plastic one didn't warp. I rotate every time and the plate still does. But your press and seal works great. Thank you so much.
I would like to see how you created the sentiments in canva
Lay the die face down and pull the paper away- works better for me!!
I have been wanting her envelope dies . Thanks for the video!
You are welcome!
Tyfs. And telling the size❤❤❤❤
You’re welcome! Always happy to share! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🥰
It’s hard to hear your voice over the music. Thank you for making this great video.
Sorry about that. Thanks for letting me know and watching!
Thank you for sharing. I will give it a try
Please do! I hope you are doing well!
Yes, you look amazing for having just had brain surgery, so glad everything went well for you. Stay blessed and TFS that’s a great tip!
You can use both sides of the magnetic mat also
Thank you for sharing. Thank you also for watching my video.
What kind of glue do you use on the detailed layer of the background die? Any tips for avoiding getting glue on the front?
Bearly arts glue with the precision fine tip. Apply small dots of glue and work fast. Thanks so much for watching!
You are so sweet. This is a fabulous tip, keep up the tutorials. So glad you are better.I am an RN and worked in the OR and your surgery is very rare. I helped on one and there was a lot a X-rays taken during the surgery. I became very ill a week after the surgery, thought I had radiation sickness. Noooo! I was pregnant! it was my first and I was 40yrs old but very happy, thought you would get a laugh! So I never forgot that surgery.
Omg!!! 😆 That is wild! Thanks for watching my video and I’m so glad you found it helpful!
I’ve never used a picker tool on my Empress magnetic mat. Just a scraper or credit card will do it. Thanks for the tips.
You bet! Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you for this video! It was very helpful to see how to make the square envelope using a 12x12” piece of paper. And Frosty was an added bonus at the end! Many thanks! ❤
You are so welcome! Roxy and Butters love crafting with their mommy. 🤣
Tyfs ❤ I use the same sandwiches you do I had put down the wax paper then my paper then my dye, then the top plate and then ran it through and it never stuck to my mat. It did take a little bit of brushing off, but I’m gonna try this. I did not put the wax paper in between the Dye in the paper that ruin your dies.
No problem! Thank you for watching!
