Nice video. Although your descrition on messuring left off one very important detail. After converting to Feet you must add 18" and round up to the next foot. Clearly states this on the box instructions on every steering system kit.

You didn't pretreat the wood!? You should really paint on a good coating of resin first or the wood will just soak it up & you'll delam later. Also, theres simple tool for getting the glass in the corners, you can make one with a metal washer, screw & a stick :)

Man this video saved me money today!! My engine was turning on as normal but when I would shift, the boat wouldn’t move.i found that the nut came off and the rod had just disconnected from the little shift mechanism. I searched everywhere for a resolution then I found this jewel of a video. Much appreciated from Saint Augustine, FL, USA.

Hoping over time the memory from being on the factory spool lessens. With a tight line using weight its fine but at first with top water bait it is so bad reeling in is a problem and prone to “nesting”.

I am trying to find a led strip light thst neds no extra wires, resistors, distribution centers, connectors, and all the extra stuff that makes me rather go without. I have solar or 9v or AA string lights. That’s all in one, but not water proof. As soon as there are any extra things I must connect before connecting to battery I am out

How do you know the correct position of the motor before you attach the cables? I noticed you said the motor was in neutral both on th remote and motor. How to tell which position is neutral on the motor??

When setting up the cable length for the shift cable, wouldn't you want the selector in the N position? (like how it shows in your thumbnail) I noticed you had it all the way back when installing the cable -- Did you have the control box set to reverse? I'm going to be replacing cables this weekend and I assumed I would keep the cables in the neutral position for cable installation. Excellent video explaining how the connections work, exactly what I was looking for.
