    I have an RXV cart. I upgraded to a bigger controller. I didn’t notice it at first but I’m getting this jerking motion when I slow down. For example slow down to make a turn it jerks like it wants to stop then it will go. Does this sound like it’s the bearing encoder or the controller?? Thanks for any info.

  • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900

    It could be either of them. Are you sure your bigger controller is compatible with the motor? Also if you didn't upgrade to a larger amp solenoid, that could be the problem.

    Leak of brake fluid on an electric club car...how to diagnose and repair

  • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
    @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart490011 күн бұрын

    Not many electric carts have brake fluid. If you park the cart in a clean area and pump the brakes a few times, you should see about where the leak is by the spots on the floor. Should be fairly easy to locate the leak, unless you have a tomberlin, then you have a big headache.

  • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
    @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart490019 күн бұрын

    Each club car controller has 4 codes programmed into it from the factory. With a scanner, the first 3 codes can be unlocked for free. You have to pay club car to get the unlock code for code 4.

    Hi I enjoy your info. I have a club cart precedent, the other day it stopped running just completely dead. I replaced my motor computer, that made it run again however now it has low speed. Maybe 4 MPH before it was at least double that. I replace the speed sensor that did not increase the speed?? When I first got this cart it was used and a mechanic from the place where I bought it plugged a hand held looking mini computer and it boasted the speed to at least 12 mph. Would I need that done again? So far I’m stumped.

  • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900

The switch that is on the forward and reverse lever looks like a monkey, it is one that when you press the lever, it is activated; It is one that goes inside and is mounted with screws on the lever. You could make a video explaining the electrical wiring. Greetings and I hope you can.

    Hello Wayne, I'm new to the electric golf carts. My relay is not clicking when i plug my cart in & i have 44.5 volts ? I did test my plug on the cart & it's got 44.5. Also if a solenoid sticks can you tap on it to get it to unstick. I ask this because I'm getting 44.5 volts on both large terminals with the key turned off. Thanks Charles

  • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
    @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900Ай бұрын

    Your batteries are too low to engage your charger. Try using a 12 volt car charger on each individual battery fir about 15 minutes, then try your cart charger immediately after that to see if the relay will close. Yes you can tap on a solenoid, but that isn't your problem. Also, if you have a resistor that goes between the 2 large solenoid terminals, then you will always have volts on both sides. You need to temporarily remove that resistor to see if you have volts on both sides.

    Hi Wayne, I need your help, money is tight so i am trying my best to do this myself. I have a 99 clubcar ds and i am switching over to lithium. I am trying to bypass my obc bypass. I have the 3 wire set up. Brown, yellow, and red. I found the tubing removed the neagative 10awg and small grey wire from the charger recepticle. I took the 10 ground and placed it on my - battery terminal. I took the yellow wire from the contoller connection and wired it to the negative terminal on my controller along with the 10awg ground wire. I get the reverse buzzer when i turn on the key, but the cart will not move at all. I get the click from the solenoid but no movement. I tried to charge my 4 12v 100ah lithium batteries last night but they did not charge. I have a brand new smart charger and i hooked up the clips it came with. No luck!!!

  • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
    @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900Ай бұрын

    As far as the bypass, it sounds like you didn't do it right. The black # 10 wire needs to run from the carts charge receptacle to the main negative on the batteries. The only yellow wire you need to do anything with, is if you have a skinny yellow wire on the solenoid. If you do have this Wire , that wire needs to run from the solenoid to the that same main negative battery terminal.

  • @gtphones

    So I have an old G2 I believe, with a charger that just has a timer on it (up to 12 hrs) recently just purchased this, it was running great and then it wasn't, and acted line it had a short in the wiring when it started to act up and not go, when you hit the gas pedal the led light turned on in front, which made me think it is a short in the wiring, I tried charging the batteries with my charger, 2 at a time, since they are in series, seems like the 2 middle batteries are faulty, they both seem dead, unplugged them to charge individuality, and using a reconditioner currently to try and bring the life back, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
