  mine sat for a year and seized. cut belt off..ok..altenator bearing had froze up!!!

  A lot of times the jeep engine will seize due to a lack of oil. And sitting around... With no oil. It either get a new engine or un seize it. I'm no expert tho. My 01 jeep is doing nothing now, not even lights :/

  I know I'm late but my 99 jeep does this. I turned the crank shaft manually with a breaker bar and socket. it's started again ,then locked up again. my next step is to open up the head and figure it out. the body is in great shape and I refuse to sell it for now.

  This has just happened to my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Everyone that I've asked an opinion from says it's a seized engine and that its typical for Jeeps to do this...

  Nathan Warrick No never did, this guy bought it for a grand and had an extra jeep. probably parted it.
