Seen one of ur comment on another ep3 vid about the arches getting rot cause of water buildup? I think i heard about someone saying they drill holes to let the water escape. I found a low milage garaged ep3 with maybe 0.2% rust that sat for a decade. tried getting my hands under the sideskirts and rear bumper and found some pebbles but verything felt dry, i don't really know what people mean with these rear arches collecting water causing rust, most vids are civic that are totally rusted out to hard for me to actually see where the cause is from. Seen u mention in the other vid to check your profile for ep3 vids but didn't find much about the arches. Maybe you can make a vid? ^^ cheer

Headlights look banging buddy make sure when you wash the car put some sealant or wax on them to protect them from the uv, mines standard bar the tinted windows and half tint rear lights, yellow calipers buddy ive them on my red motor and they look amazing👌👍

I've got the exact same car, same colour, even got a tow bar. I've had it years, it's so simple, doesn't let me down, blanked off the egr, gets even better mpg

Definitely get some videos done if you've still got the car and want to as this one has performed pretty well. I personally like the carbon wrap and also the newer stereo unit means you can just bluetooth in rather than the older ones on these 2000s cars. Totally agree with changing the blue badges to red, the engine bay side of things isn't as crucial but would be good to have it all match. Not sure if you're willing to share this but how much did it cost? Just trying to get an idea of prices as I think most clean ones cost like 5-9k

Congratulations man. You’ve bought a feat of automotive engineering. Once the issues have been sorted you’ll have a solid and truly engaging hot hatch. I recommend a limited slip diff, a fast road setup and good tyres. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A are great

They don’t make k100 anymore I’d recommend a kpro or a haltech they are the best. Also tdi north are wank I think most people can agree on that. Take it to Jesse or romain they can seriously map these things. Good luck with the build though 👌

Nice purchase! Why the previous owner did the blue theme idk, but glad you plan to get it back to red 👌🏻 the fake carbon centre console and door handles look better than the original silver, but I think just plain black would look best imo. Thinking of doing it myself

Would strongly recommend getting the car mapped with a few bolt on parts, the difference is night and day!

It seems like the headlights had been painted matt black inside, so new replacement headlight will be looking kind of out of place I would take this headlight which has water inside, open it with heatgun and just add more glue and reseal it, it is some work but it will look better imo

oem type r headlights are shadow chrome and look better than spray paint black when in good condition

Hope the rust is not too bad. If you pop the rear speakers out you can see down into the rear sills and that will give you an indication of how bad they are likely to be. Hopefully, you caught the rust time. I didn't and my jack went through the jacking point. I don't think I caught the mileage of yours but around 100k-120k you might need a timing chain/tensioner and guides which is quite common. The chain stretches and puts a fault code on the crank position sensor. Cost is about £750 in parts and labour if done at Honda. Lovely cars to the drive, engines are solid, it's just the rest of the car that lets it down when the millage gets higher.

I just bought one around a month ago and I’ve loved every minute of driving it. Mine also is a 55 plate premier edition but in Milano red and the guy who owned it before had just had it fully under sealed and the alloys powder coated so I’m really pleased. Enjoy your new car mate 👍

My son's 55 plate EP3 just had both inner sill's replaced and rear quarter inner wheel archs due to rust,cost £450 plus sill kits off eBay £89,also check in the boot for a puddle of water as the roof seams crack letting water in.

It's a bugger that these cars are prone to rust. It's good though that the sill kits can be purchased online, saves lots of fabrication!

Definitely get some videos done if you've still got the car and want to as this one has performed pretty well.
