Well now i gotta get a new gap wedge too
This is a local corse for me and he nailed it. Kent state universitys golf team practices here.
@@mikeadamski6061 Thanks for letting us know, I'm always curious about the details of a course and how it's captured on a flat screen. Kudos to the course designers.
Everyone of those were known for their spin rate! I keep hoping to find a set at a yard sale or a pawn shop etc!
I'm 6' exactly, and the shaft is 1/2" shorter than my driver! I believe it's more inline with someone taller than the average human 😅
I own this club with the copper head, with the blue shaft length and lie angle. Stiff flex of course! Only 3 ppl I've ever seen hit it, can hit it!
@@jwestphal1978 I'm not one of those people... Haha it's a hard club to hit for sure

You mentioned that you would consider coming back if a significant update happened. Was there any meaningful updates since you quit Home Tee Hero?
@@mkwheeland87 yeah they finally allowed the course to be in landscape mode and some of the calculations got better for distances. Still not enough to take me away from GSPRO, GSPro does everything I want a Sim software to do. People still complain about driver spin and distance with home tee hero as well from the people I talk to.
Great par 3 course played it well . Are your webcams wired to pc ? What software do you use to screen capture ? Your setup looking great !
@@125phr thanks buddy, every camera is USB and my Sim is USB capture card. Everything runs to a computer running OBS Studio. I also feel like I've reached a level with audio and visual where I'm happy
gotta give this one a try...
@@MikeSoutham definitely
What was the process in vaulting your garage ceiling? I’d be interested in a video on that. Thanks!
kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZIVnmdyTopXHYMY.html. Best process I could come up with.
@@DLudGolf thanks, looks great!
haha so funny, I played this one for the 1st time last night!!
What'd you shoot?

@@DLudGolf wanna play tonight
@@yangendron1348 can't for a while, busted my elbow up and am going on vacation so a little golf break for me coming up
@@DLudGolf cool man! Enjoy the vacation
looks great! Nice job Tahoe!
One of my recent favorites
Lol it sounds like you are playing at the top of Mt. Everest with that wind
It did not work out, haha
Torch is fine just let off on it..your holding the flame on too long
3 to 4 second count, let off, more tension with shaft extractor, repeat
@@Atrain708 I had a lot of tension from the get go with no way to adjust. It worked, but the sudden oxygen made the glue catch fire and the club head fired forward and melted my floor in a few places.
Biden the GREAT is ahead in new polls ! GOD BLESS JOE Biden the GREAT Biden = insuline at 35 Biden = affordable health insurance Biden = affordable college Biden = better gun control BIDEN= Minimum wage at 15 Biden = whealthy will have to pay their fair share
Can you message me a link to the face on camera you use? Looks like it doesn't a great job capturing your entire swing with very little room between you and the camera.

that thing moved as soon as you hit it!!! Any solution for that?
Yeah I ended up setting in some cut out floor tiles and used hot glue, hasn't moved since.
Nice looking course. It’s not Real Club Valderrama as on the thumbnail though 😆
Ah I should've known, thanks
@@DLudGolf hopefully will see Valderrama?
@@pob1619 coming in a few videos actually
Wow, great view for how a tall guy with long arms should hit driver. I struggle with getting too steep. He has a solid flatter swing plane.
Shout out to Carson!
Thanks Ray!
This is my home course so it’s cool to see a simulation of it
Fun home course!
How do you know it’s snide stuff? I’ve compared the golf pride grips with the ones in the pro shop and there is No difference
They don't have the same core, they are flimsy, and Scotty grip I got literally pulled apart after a few months, they look similar but there are some quality differences in my experience.
Love the videos Dlud! I like watching them then playing as many as I can. It really gets me to play courses I normally would never come across
Awesome! Thank you for the positive feedback, the summer months are pretty slow on the channel, so I'm glad someone is still getting use out of the videos. I have a bunch of fun courses coming out soon, I've played some good ones.
Hi Dave, I rely on your channel for all the new GS Pro courses, to see which ones I like. Keep up the good work. I noticed your game seems to have gone off since you got the Uneekor Eye Mini. I thought it might be because of the Eye Mini but your comments seem to say not so. I hope you sort it out soon as I was thinking of buying the Lite, maybe. Regards Eddie.
I have some rounds at E and +1 and normal scores for me coming up. I wish I could blame the LM, but my neck and back injury has made me make some adjustments in my swing and since I record everything you'll see some bad rounds. +4, +5 is normal for me tho. I'm just trying to get healthy mostly
What was the distance?
283 yards
@@DLudGolf Nice, man. Really nice shot shape too.
This course lays north of Des Moines Iowa. Was a private course until just recently now it’s semi private. One of the best courses in town. Super happy it’s on GoPro. All of life is good courses are amazing. Waveland is on here now and is the oldest public golf course west of the Mississippi. That might be a fun one too.
Nice great info, I'll check it out
I'm in weekly league at Gainsfield. I'm amazed at how accurate this simulation is.
Yeah the designer did a good job with the details, it really makes or breaks a Sim course
Like to see you take Valderrama for a spin 👍🏻
Played it last night actually, tough track, played good but only had 1 one putt so ended up with a good amount of bogeys
Did you wrap the wood that you’re using for the cage in any kind of foam to protect against any golf shot ricochets?
Yeah the two top poles, I used wooden closet dowels so they were round, then wrapped them in pool noodles or the plumping pipe insulation foam. I'll hit them with a wedge every once and while if I'm trying to launch it high, but it barely makes a dent and usually falls straight down.
This is my bad shot, 3 or 4 every round! It's killing me 😊
Playing for the slice and getting burned with the straight ball
I also use Stimp 8 which matches best with my putting Turf in my Sim room , I use the Garmin with Webcam and find it very accurate overall and wasn’t that hard to set up, works best with Orange ball, as mentioned in other comments I made , definitely change to 5 foot gimme circle, I tried it on 3 and it was very hard, 5 is a happy medium considering it is Sim golf etc
Thanks Tim, you'll see a round in the future at 5ft
What green speed did you have this set at, looks less than 10 stimp. IMHO you could move the ball up in your stance to get more weight going forward; just looks like your struggling to stay behind your shot.
I settled on 8, it was the speed that most felt like my muni courses near me. I always feel like the ball is up, then I see on camera its middle or back, so I can't seem to trick my brain on setup.
Always enjoy your videos mate, but your gimme circle is HUGE, should be at 5 foot maximum, fairly sure that is what it is on the Simulator Golf Tour, and yes your scores will probably go up but it’s definitely more realistic, and you will gain a lot more respect for your great rounds. 5 feet is very generous, here in Australia unless your less then 1 foot away you never get a gimme in Real Golf, which I completely agree with. Change it to 5👍👍
Put my comment in the wrong spot, see below
@@FORE_GOLF_SAKE appreciate the comment, I just started putting a little while ago and lowered it to 8 ft. Maybe when I get better at the putting I'll lower it some more. My take right now is that the videos will get 1-3 minutes longer and will be filled with 5.1 foot putts, whereas now the holes kinda move along. We'll see about trying a few rounds at 5 though, I'll have to make some short putts tho
The audio gets better as the round goes I'm still working out the kinks of the new recording PC.
Hi D Lud, Love your live play videos, specially the commentary on the gameplay! Quick question for you - after recording your gameplay, how do you edit it to remove all the dead time between shots (what software do you use, that allows you to do it efficiently and without missing the next shot for e.g.). Also, how do you add the commentary afterwards? Thank you Sir!
Thank you very much for the kind words, I just kinda fell into the format of the rounds/commentary after listening to comments and subscribers over the last 2 years or so. For everything video editing I use Wondershare Filmora. I take the full round and I can see on the audio track where the club strikes are because they are loud, so I just go through and cut out the time from when the ball lands to when I hit again. takes about 15 minutes or so, then I save that file with a title and gifs or whatever. Then later on when I get time I use filmora to film the commentary as I watch the round again to get another look at the course or my swing or whatever I want to talk about. All and all I can whip out videos pretty quick to try and keep up with the 1,000 GSPRO courses.
@@DLudGolf Thank you D Lud! Will try your technique. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of your gameplay and new GSPro download course videos. Hows the new SIM coming along? Need to see a full video of the final product and how you got there.
@@ManuDas-vw8ob it is already on the channel actually, cheers
Oh man, I felt the weak hook that dribbled to the ladies tee. 😮
Objectively not good
great looking course, def on my list to play
Love me any ocean course really
I played bull valley years ago when I lived in that area. Not a great day for golf that day so I’ll try it on here soon
Always good weather in my virtual rounds for a reason. Thanks for watching
Congrats on the upgrade I plan on moving from my R10 and spornia net outside to either a spare room or part of the garage, I would prefer the spare room as I home to have it double as a home theatre. Love your enthusiasm and obvious love of golf, with the way green fees are going I believe more people will be changing to simulators Cheers and hope your channel keeps growing.
Thank you sir much appreciated, and I agree about the future of Sim golf, just going to keep growing .
Looks awesome. But if I learned anything in my sim build process… it’s nothing is ever “done” you can ALWAYS make improvements 😂 My before to now photos are insane as well and I’m really glad I documented stuff along the way.
Yeah it's been a 3 year journey that included getting a new house! Haha my wife thinks we got it to accommodate our growing family, but no just for the Sim
great work Dave!!!
Just a slightly nicer place to loose to you. We can now putt against each other, although I don't think that helps me.
@@DLudGolf haha don't be so hard on yourself my man!! lets play together soon
Respectfully, as a Cambridge local to this course having played it many times, most times when your ball went in the gorse/thick stuff that would have been a lost ball. Think playing like this you would have been well north of 90!
Some course designers will mark this areas as inner out of bounds, requiring a drop, I guess this designer didn't take that extra step, thanks for the comment always nice to know how the courses compare to real life
To be fair, it's not out of bounds but is always really thick and brutal!! In this sense I think the course was designed to play a bit like an inland links course. The fairways are pretty wide and generous but if you stray from them then you get punished badly!! Great videos and if you're ever in the UK would be happy to sign you in to try the real thing!
@@jtrigzy5710 I guess GSPRO could designate some areas "extreme rough" or something harsher than "deep rough" that way the only thing to do is wedge it sideways. I would love to go back to Europe, I've only been to London, so branching out to other areas and playing some golf sounds great.
Would gladly host and play a round with you! We're only about 40 miles north of London anyway which for you guys in such a huge place as North America is nothing huh!! All the best my man!
You should join the simulator golf tour and film tour rounds.
I have considered it for sure
i thought my phone was fucking up
Keep driver head as long and far awa from you as possible When you reach top of your swing, i want you to 30% flatter on it. Will yield Better constancy M8 🎉
Good advice I need to make sure I turn in the back swing too
Talons of Tuscany is a beautiful private course just north of Des Moines. Life is good is a great creator.
He's been busy lately
I've been offline for a few weeks, are we enjoying the uneekor over the R10? Do you think it suits your live game better?
So far it's exposing my slice tendency off the tee and making me practice putting, it is really nice to get the impact camera and some of the features. So enjoying but took a minute to get used to the side spin difference
@@DLudGolf I'm really on the fence on this one. I think I'm going to get the GC2 if I can find one on the cheap.
@@fatputtsgolf I wish I could test all of them like some of those channels.
@1:55 you said you turned it down; that was the 4.5 slope left that caused that hard left shot...but maybe you pulled it a little.
I do forget to look at the slope, GSPro really kicks it sideways on those numbers, you are probably right, I didn't look super happy with the strike either.
That’s where Dexter Morgan dumped his victims- Bay Harbor Butcher 😂
I did not know that.....beautiful bay tho. jk
Great comparison video mate, well done. I love my Garmin R10 and have no plans to upgrade yet…one day. Keep up the great work with the Videos 👍👍
Thanks for the feedback and for watching, as someone who had the Garmin for years already I always wanted to do this
Great work, I love my R10, it’s not perfect but for an entry level device it makes it possible to enjoy some sim golf and practice without breaking the bank. I love that it has no subscription fees to unlock other than the home tee hero which I don’t use. I am ready to go from my outside setup to moving indoors and plan on getting a camera based unit as I have limited space for a radar unit, I hope Garmin bring out an upgraded launch monitor similar to the unicor light that doesn’t have the subscription fees. Cheers
I heard there was a new Garmin Device in the works more akin to the Mevo devices, but we'll see, something that combines radar and camera seems to be the direction of the cheaper units.
