I personally recommend the insta heal perk for the scout. The amount of times I had to clutch and revive someone while everyone was down but me is proof enough that it's a good perk

Improved motor doesn't increase heat buildup. It should if guns in deep Rock worked like real guns do, but they don't. Heat is simply based on how long you hold down M1, not how many bullets you shoot.

Ya higher rate of fire doesn't increase heat gen. Minigun heat build up is based on time. This is why even at +75% heat, RO shoots the same number of bullets as +50% burning hell before over heating.

I genuinely don’t see why “mission sniping” is seen as a bad thing, sometimes deep rock for the casual players have long matches especially if you’re getting out with newbies, sometimes you need some do and credits and when joining a mission I’ll try and join the one with the most time just to save on time from playing the game, some missions I play in last 30 minutes up to 40 or 50 minutes. I work full time and have a girlfriend that doesn’t want me on the game all night and only get to play a few days out of the week while I’m still setting myself up for financial success. I would also assume that if someone has been in a mission for a while they would like someone to join them and speed up the process and assist them with the rest of the mission. I myself have been in a mission as gunner when I was solo and probably spent 17 minutes in the mission it was a liquid morkite one, it was getting late and I was hoping people would join and finally a few people joined me and I felt really relieved when before they joined I even was considering quitting and abandoning the mission, those people joined me and helped me complete the mission and get off for tonight with peace of mind and I appreciated them for it, I didn’t assume they are in my lobby for the XP and if they are I really don’t care they simply are trying to make the most of their time, not everyone can play deep rock for hours and hours multiple days a week and I respect that and others should too.

You know what other gunner build beats everything? Cluster charges 💥💥💥💥💥💥 A well placed cluster detonation is roughly the equivalent of an aggressive venting blast in crowd control and can take a large chunk off of a big enemy. It's also worth noting that hellfire is better for crowd control than other gunner secondary options, but you already have as much crowd control as you need, so I would recommend either volatile bullets if you're intent on leaning into the fire damage or six shooter if you just want to shoot giant bugs and kill them. Or you could take hellfire and build your primary exclusively into single target damage, it's that powerful. All around, this build seems a bit confused. It doesn't stagger utility between the primary and secondary, with both of them using the same gimmick (fire damage), and neither of them are particularly anything that I would call a "jack of all trades" given how biased fire is towards swarm clear. An example of a similar yet more well-rounded gunner build would be burning hell lead storm with hot bullets and volatile bullets bulldog, giving you great crowd control and single target damage at all ranges.

Bonus tip regarding Machine Events: to get the XP you only have to start them, so if you encounter an OMEN, start it and run away, as long as its timer ends you will receive the XP (you wont receive any matrix core rewards tho)

Until S5 the minigun was one of my least favorite guns because it couldn't sustain fire for a long period of time, either it would overheat or not fire fast enough but with rotary overdrive.... Oh how the tables have turned

Nah. Rotary overdrive is pretty meh. Chew through bullets like crazy and by the time you overheat and proc the AV you're down to about 5-10 HP anyway. Burning bullets at least lets you apply the fire DMG at an instant press of the mouse button. It sheds heat fast enough so having the "reload cool" is more of a gimmick than actual use if you swap between weapons. Probably one of the weakest OC:s of season 5. Sure is the weakest for the gunne.

Personally, I call this loadout 'Don't stop me now', bc this loadout NEVER stops firing, heating everything up until the fights are over, or gunner got down.

5:34 rate of fire mod does NOT increase the heat buildup. You just get to shoot a bit more bullets with it before overheat.

Oh I absolutely love the Rotary Overclock. I’ve been using it with the other tier 5 for the gun to keep burning bullets going for the whole fire time, but this is gonna be way more efficient and more blazing.

As a gunner main, i agree with the initial statement. Your secondaries are just as important as your primary. If the bugs get the jump on you, you wont have time to start revving up lead storm or wait for thunderhead to speed up. Having a good secondary to fo at any time is huge for your survivablilty

I dont like Shard Diffractor because it consumes too much ammo, good for heavy targets but plasma cutter and Pgl with overclocks exist

I think it's important to mention you specifically don't want repellent on your platforms as you don't want the bugs avoiding them! I had fun with the stubby over clock and it looks cool as hell, but it's a bit too situational for my taste.
