Bradley Seeto

Hi fishing fanatics!
I grew up fishing with my dad since I was a kid, then soon forgot about this hobby during my teens and early adulthood and it was only recently I've rediscovered this lost passion of mine. I try to fish as much as I can and document my journey along the way. I have many videos to share, so much my family are sick of watching them.
I would say I'm a fishing addict, enough said.
I have a few years of fishing experience offshore (no boat though), inshore, harbour and only recently I purchased my first kayak a Hobie Outback 2019.
If you like my content please, SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, SHARE and COMMENT, it will help me maintain my enthusiasm to keep the uploads coming.

    Another great session your mate in the native I see he's got boondox I've just got a set yet to put on the pa14 does he like them also do you have a moter on your rear yak and what battery do you guys use

  • @bradleyseeto
    @bradleyseetoКүн бұрын

    I also have the boondox and loved it until the weight got too much and started to bulge underload. So I have retired it and now using the railblaza c-tug R. You probably don't want to hear this but I personally wouldn't use it, not unless you are really careful with how much weight is placed on it. I even created a larger custom backing plate to fit into the kayak to spread the load but even then it just couldn't handle it. So it was safer just to convert over to the c-tug r and not have any worries. Hobie really need to start innovating as the scupper carts were great at the time, now everyone carries a lot more gear and you'll see more scupper cracks in the forums. The horizontal bar on the ctug R does a great job in distributing the load. I have a torqeedo 403 electric motor which came with a large battery that will last all day if you don't go full throttle constantly. Expensive unit but I can't see myself fishing without it.

    @@srduckyoce1084ahh yes I use a thin Velcro strap prob about 1cm wide and wrap a stainless steel key ring around the rod. I make sure the Velcro isn’t on too tight to allow it to slide up and down the rod butt. Also make sure you have atleast one wrap around the rod before securing the key ring to avoid scratches.

    Wow. You are good at that. What’s your favourite weight and shape of jig? I can catch them on live squid but yet to find one to take my jig. I have tried squidtrex and a flutter jig. I also fish the eastern side of the spit bridge. Any help would be much appreciated from a master 🤙👊

  • @bradleyseeto
    @bradleyseetoАй бұрын

    Thanks but I wouldn't call myself good, just lucky sometimes. Firstly you need to find the fish on the sounder and they try various lures. For vertical jigging I'm just using a 150g lure and just pause every so often. They can be found sometimes hanging in shallow waters 12-15m so you don't need to jig that fast. If they don't take the vertical, I'll switch to slow jigs. When they are picky they'll only take live squid or cuttlefish.

    After several months of rewiring my Lowrance Hook2 Triple shot several times (electrics are not my forte) I gave up & took it into Whitworths in Lambton & found the unit had gone to heaven. I now have a working basic Lowrance FS 7" that I wired in myself & it & the transducer are working perfectly. I also made a DIY Transducer arm for the transducer because the hull cavity would not accept the larger transducer. Cost less than $40.00. I gave up on the Railblaza transducer arm ($61.00) which was far more trouble than it's worth. Corrosion was a chronic problem with my old ff but the new one has much better connections & caps. Yet to try it out. If you do not have corrosion issues check your power supply all the way through. If you don't find any problems, you can try having it tested. Hope your problem is not a major one. Thanks for sharing.

  • @bradleyseeto
    @bradleyseeto2 ай бұрын

    A few drops of water had made its way through the back of the HDS connector and corroded through some electronics. Sent it lowrance and they quoted me $903 for a new unit. I accepted the cost and when the new unit arrived the first thing I did was tighten the screws on all the back plugs. I now have a spare 3 in 1 transducer.
