  Christians have so much energy for converting atheists because we're generally peaceful people and there is little risk, I'd love to see that zeal while converting muslims or buddhists.

  I'll let you in on a little secret.... 🤫 "Christianity is one of the leading religions of the entire planet" Pretty much everybody has heard of Jesus Christ, The Trinity and other key facts of the the Holy Writ. As such, the need for Evangelism is not real anymore. What most "Evangelism" supporters should REALLY try doing is stop bothering people. You seem to think that if you don't personally share the "Good News" to someone in your life that they haven't already heard it a dozen times before, 100x or 1000x. Maybe they just aren't interested.... if they need you they'll come to you stop going to them. We all know who to reach out to if we want to know about The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. We have churches on every street corner if they want to find God they'll find them on their own they don't need you to tell them. Christianity has succeeded in becoming one of the most powerful religions on the planet. You can take a rest now. Take a Sabbath of a few centuries. If we need you we'll give you a call.

  I don't think most people would say that religious parents are bad parents. They are saying that certain religious parents hold distractive beliefs that make them bad parents. E.g. The rate of teen suicided among gay teens of evangelical parents is astronomical.

So the guy just believes 27 books that were compiled by a fallible institution that, in turn, made additions to the content of the revelation, according to the protestant belief, is inspired. How convenient and arbitrary. And this is the same guy that wants people to leave catholicism, because of its supposed false beliefs.

  I don't know. I found the article deeply unsettling. For me, it's an awfully large, bright, waving red flag when some expands the definition of "sin" and weaponizes it against others, especially on something as complicated as gender and sexuality. One way Legalism can rear its ugly heard is when we are deceived into calling something something a sin where the Bible refuses to. That is what got the well-meaning Pharisees and Sadducees in trouble--they were so hell-bent on holiness that they hamstrung God's people with codified convictions. Let me put it this way: it is one thing for Ms. Butterfield to reach that conviction on her own and live her life accordingly. It is entirely another thing to repeatedly lambast others--by name!--because they don't share that same conviction.

  The funniest part of this video is when he said we (America) is the most anti LGBTQ country. Really we kill gays here just for being gay like they do in some Middle Eastern countries.
