If you thought Vaughn was bad before he’s worse cause he doesn’t just rape the elven women he kills them afterwards, it’s literally his reputation he has his way with them they either come back losing something or in a body bag he even raped and killed the allienage’s blacksmith’s daughter and because he was the teyrns son he got away with it and got no repercussions for his crimes so you did the allienage and Thedas a favor

I would’ve probably gone for ddr5 ram instead of ddr4 and a 360mm aio not only for the looks but for better cpu temps and 3 120mm fans at the bottom, but for a beginner build this is fine👍👍

There could have definitely been better budget spent on the cpu, ram, and gpu. But this is HER build, if she’s happy with her build, good I am too. As long as she haves fun with it and can do the things she wanted, that’s fine. I’m just saying my opinions

Hey, I was the one who said that Merrill can make a pretty good tank! Sorry I couldn't be there live or else I would've coached you through my preferred build, but it seems like you got something similar. The idea is that, since Merrill, has access to blood magic, her mana pool doesn't matter so you can stack her with all the sustained spells which increase her survivability (Rock Armor from Primal, Arcane Shield from Arcane). Her special tree, Dalish Pariah, is what gives her access to Blood of the First which lets her cast spells using health as well as Ensnare to draw aggro. Then, on future level ups, put most ability points into health and a handful into magic here and there, and you have a pretty strong tank. She also has access to traditional spells as well which makes her valuable even outside of tanking damage.

it's not fenris fault if you can't use hi. you barely try to use some strategy in fights. Many fighjts don't require it but some do. Then you complain about enemies that are attacking you...why? did you set taunt? do you use it? Have you ever tried to make a combo? I agree Fenris was not good in that composition but not because he's not good but because he's a DPS warrior. Aveline is a tank (of course you can swap roles but then their specializations become weird).Aveline is a must, or maybe Carver if you build him like a tank. Then you have to choose between Isabela and Fenris. If you choose Isabela you can have double mage ranged: you and merril (offensive mage) or Anders (support). Or you can have Fenris and Varric. I prefer Fenris+ Varric because of the combo i like (disoriented by Varric + walking bomb by me) but any logic composition can be good

It's funny you say this because Merrill is designed to be a tank and easily surpasses the warriors in survivability and in drawing aggro! All the armor and shield spells + crowd control + her signature tree which adds more to each is the perfect recipe for a tank! Bonus, she won't berate your use of blood magic. You guys can practice the forbidden arts alongside each other lol

I love KotOR, but games from 2003 haven't aged particularly well. KotOR runs on the same engine as DAO, but 6 years older. Also, unless the GOG version has somehow improved things, KotOR is quite difficult to get running properly on modern systems. In my experience, the cutscenes don't really work, and the swoop racing crashes the game completely. I would love to get corrected on that. If someone knows how to get KotOR to run in a modern environment, I want to know about it.

Walking bomb is very good. it does more damage than any other aoe spell BUT obviously there is also a negative side. you can't use it just spamming on anyone, you have to use it on an enemy that has high maximum HP and when he's almost dead. It's way more tactical and satisfying than just cast a fireball

it seems the combat is too easy...you are just auto attacking and randomly activating some spell. i'm afraid that combat will become too boring if you keep playing this way. You should be forced to find a strategy, at least in the hardest fights. The one in the church is not supposed to be so easy

Carver is the worst. i never played mage because i want to keep Bethany alive..There are 2 good warriors in the game. Aveline is a super good Tank, then you'll meet the DPS warrior

Elemental is the most offensive tree, sure, but there is damage in each tree. Primal is very similar to elemental. Spirit has walking bomb too. Horror can do damage (good damage) with the upgrade, and crushing prison is the best spell (damage, CC, and also combo)......You should really read upgrades too when you choose spells/abilities....it's important to pick something to creat combos. Combos are the must fun thing in this game for combat

Less abilities/spells but much better! there are the upgrades too...the tree system that allows you to skip something you don't want to pick. DA2 is probably the worst DA overall but there are things in which it's the best. Abilities/spells/combo is one of these and personally i also thought the plot is the best but it would be too long to explain and it's no important at the moment.

12:45 In DAO lock picking was rogue only as well. For me playing warrior or rogue ranks SO much higher than mage^^. As a matter of fact I despise playing mages. Melee is so much more fun. I also have to disagree with the person who said that you benefit from playing as a mage in DA2 - you absolutely don't. Playing as a mage means you're stuck with Carver - if you play as a warrior or rogue Bethany survives and Carver dies. So much better. Bethany is so nice while Carver is a huge a-hole. Whoever said playing as female Hawke has anything to do with Carver surviving is wrong btw - it's based on the class you pick, not the gender. Mages have to suffer Carver, Warriors and Rogues get Bethany instead which is so much better.

Not 100% true but i can agree (about lockpicking). In DAO everyone could raise cunning. 10 points of cunning (above 10) = 1 level of lockpicking. It was just not worth for non rogues to raise cunning and only rogues had the lockpicking talent (each point spent = 1 level)...but it was POSSIBLE to have a mage with 70 cunning to open all the chests in the game (if i recall, maxumum level of difficulty was 6)
