    Found this.... !! if you want to level the truck using tent mode but then close the tonneau cover: set tent mode, then select jack mode, then exit tent mode. This freezes the suspension in its leveled state.

    What about drivers who are somewhat visually impaired (🤓) won't the tinted windows possibly interfere with night driving?

    Excellent video, this is exactly what I'm planning on doing with my cyber truck. I am still trying to reach out to Breezer Windows to get one of their replacement windows so that I can circulate air from the cabin to the bed. Please everyone continue to pestor Tesla about allowing us to close the tonneau cover when in camp mode with self-leveling. Seems very odd that they would block us from allowing us to use the vehicle the way we want to I am thinking of building an induction cooktop kitchen which will fit in the frunk with an extension cord to the bed outlet. I will be removing the second row seats and putting in a refrigerator, microwave, and toolbox/accessories. Please continue to show more videos about your camping experiences with the cybertruck.

    I grew up in the Great Lakes region and used my Mazda Miata as my daily driver year round. Lightweight, rear wheel drive, and all season tires with open differential. Never a single issue at all. My point is, knowing how to drive in the snow is infinitely more important that relying solely on tires. If that little Miata can master old man winter without a hitch on all season tires, surely a vehicle with AWD will be that much better!

    We've vault camped several times in our Cybertruck since taking delivery in February, and, in fact, will be vault camping this weekend near Muskegon, MI. Sleeping in the vault provides a level of security you can't get tent camping. We typically set up a base camp with a 10 x 10 canopy, camp kitchen, privacy tent/toilet. We sometimes bring a propane generator to extend range on overland trips. Cybertruck is a good off-road vehicle. If traveling on dusty gravel/dirt roads I always plug up the 1/2" gap at the bottom of the gate to prevent road dust from getting into the vault.

    Is there enough airflow to close the tonneau cover all the way?

  • @CyberTruckOne
    @CyberTruckOne14 күн бұрын

    Yes. Closing it completely is fine. Of course the warmer it gets the more u might have to moderate your sleeping bag, sheets, blankets etc. Without a cooling source finding a place that isn’t very hot is key. Being inside fully closed isn’t bad in my view.

  • @MsAjax409
    @MsAjax40911 күн бұрын

    I don't recommend it. I've measured the CO2 level using an Aranet 4 meter with the tonneau cover completely closed. The CO2 level quickly rose to between 2000 to 3000 ppm with two people in the vault. A healthy level is under 1000 ppm. Fresh air is 400 ppm. Higher CO2 levels will cause drowsiness and reduce mental acuity. Just a 1 inch opening will significantly reduce CO2 build up in the vault.

    I've had my Cybertruck for two months now and it's been an amazing experience. Mostly just how perfect the truck is for my needs, but also I have experienced hundreds of positive reactions of joy, excitement and wonderment and answered a ton of questions from amazed strangers. On the other hand, three angry people have flipped me off as we approached one another in traffic. It was nothing I did, because we were just meeting normally, each in our own lane going 25 mph. But they looked super angry, enraged even, as they leaned forward so they could flip the bird up against their windshield to make sure I could see their anger. I just give them an enthusiastic thumbs up and a big enthusiastic smile to show them how much I love my truck. I wish I could explain it, but all I can come up with is they are the real irrational, real weirdos in our society. And it makes sense too, I would expect about 1 percent of people to be irrational weirdos. I mean, even homeless street bums like it and give me positive vibes when I exit the Cybertruck, like I brought a little joy to their day. Even homeless, street bum drug and alcohol addicts are more normal, more human, than these angry and irrational Cybertruck haters. I thought the original Hummer, when it first hit the streets, was an awful gas-guzzling vehicle with poor handling dynamics making them not very suitable as general transportation. But I let the owners live out their paramilitary Hummer fantasy in peace. I mostly felt pity, not anger, for people driving such a cramped, gutless gas-guzzler. The Cybertruck, is at the other end of the spectrum. Super cheap operating costs, great driving dynamics and accident-avoidance capabilities, can pack a huge load of firewood, big furniture items, appliances, bicycles, etc. and it's still super nimble in tight spaces and the cabin is comfortable, airy and peaceful with an excellent stereo. Why are people so angry? I think they have some deep-seated issues that the Cybertruck brings out. That's what it feels like to me. Elon Musk is an over-achiever by anyone's standards. Maybe it reminds them of what a failure they have been, maybe Elon's achievements make theirs look trivial in comparison.

    Love your security system 🤣. I'm taking my truck camping soon. You can cool with an EcoFlow Wave 2. It works great and uses about 200w on eco or 400 on max. Which is a lot of runtime in the truck. It'll also heat but better off with an electric blanket for that!

    @@CyberTruckOne Yea that's what I was thinking a sliding glass rear window. Attach a small fan to circulate the air around from cabin, and you could sleep 5. Doing hard side panels that can attach to the bolt points on sides would be pretty good for camping. You wouldn't lose range getting to your destination that way with panels stowed in the vault.
