Great player
You’re missing Kevin millar walk off Hr against the A’s in 05
He has better highlights than these.
I was born in 93, my dad was a lifelong Sox fan, boy was I born at the right time
For the record, I made this video for a school project and was given a B-
The best part of watching a Reds game at Riverfront / Crosley was runners starting to steal 2nd base ,stopping because they knew they'd get thrown out , then Bench throwing behind them , picking them off. Sometimes he did it without getting out of the catchers crouch.
There’s a Carlos Peña Red Sox walkoff somewhere out there. I can’t find it tho.
バグウェル大好き
Missed Carbo's solo HR in Game 3 1975...
When baseball was about the game and not the money.
There will never, EVER be as magical a year as 2004.
Interesting tidbit. Willie is the only man in MLB history to hit a home run in every inning from 1 to 16.
One of Rod Dedeaux's finest. Fight On, Freddie Lynn!
Roberto was better and proved it.supporting cast was mediocre but still won two ws,willie none.say hey also played at candlestick, his stats would be 35% more.
Watching these I can’t believe the home grown talent this organization has let walk. And that is why I don’t watch or support them anymore.
Well, that was fun to watch!!😊
The biggest thing I remember about him wasn't on field. Biggio almost left, Bags said re do my deal keep him here. And it happened cause he wanted his brother and took less money. That's a man! ...... in my opinion.
Not just the greatest player in Reds baseball, but the greatest catcher in baseball, period.
I believe the road in front of the stadium is Pete Rose Way
Always used to take my hand off the bat on the follow through to emulate Lynn
I didn't realize he had quite a few 100 plus RBI seasons. Wow! LEGEND!
This dude was bad ass! Loved his hitting stance.
Will "The Thrill" Clark
All? Lol. They have over 50 walkoff homers in the last 40 years. You got about 10 of them.
"deep home run to the bleachers"? Its Fenway and it barely cleared the fence.
Never saw Schmidt play live, but he was the GOAT at third.
Mike was great. But he's got a shit reputation with Philly people..
Red Sox fans like this
The Thrill
UNDERRATED!!!!
listen to the crowd every time. you know exactly where the ball is going.
Brett Butler with the oversized glove. I miss 80's Giants' baseball.
LoL Thurman Munson BA .292, Berra .285, Posey .302, Piazza .308, Johnny Bench's BA .267 . I watched Bench in person for many years - he was NOTHING special - the only reason he's even considered as "great" is because of the BRM. He sucked back in the 70's - everyone wanted the autographs of everyone else, especially Rose and that's why Bench is suck a PoS.
Mookie smh should still be here!!!
Played most seasons with Toronto, won two World Series with Toronto, and only two highlight from his time in Toronto. What gives?
I'm 17 years old guy and David Ortiz's 2013 ALCS Home Run is always my favorite moment of all time. I wish I can see another world series win from Red Sox.
The all-time greatest baseball player.
1:56 to receive the ball 6 feet from the plate and get the tag. He focused on catching the ball first, like a good receiver in football who doesn't try to run before tucking it away. Then lightning quick to the tag
Imagine MAYS playing his career in parks likr WRIGLEY FIELD, and current parks like PHILADELPHIA, HOUSTON, ATLANTA, CINCINNATI, he would have hit over 800 hrs.
The GREAT WILLIE MAYS played most of his in CANDLE STICK PARK which was not conducive for hrs,yet he would hit as many as 50 in a season..
I went to those giants games when the stands were empty then Will Clark showed up and the stands filled up. First time I heard him talk on interview, I thought, who is this ebonic wannabe, and then I learned where he was from in Louisiana. His greatest achievement in life is that he mastered communication in different languages through his bat and that beautiful swing. The Ultimo Left Handed Hitter. xoxo por vida!
If only he didnt spit on another man
how about a rod making that switch ..?
Interesting how much 'scoop' he had in his swing. It looks kind of odd. It worked for him!
Career highlights for Mays? What, a two hour video (at least)?
Something about him felt racist. No proof just an opinion based on his Mississippi connection...... someone shed light
like a white Griffey with that swing
Clark and Mitchell . The dynamic duo
When I was a kid, I was a dyed-in-the-wool Reds fan, even though I grew up in NJ. When I was somewhere around 8-10 years old, I wrote a letter to the Reds to tell them that Johnny Bench was my favorite player. I have no idea how on earth the letter got to them. There's no way I had any particular address for the Reds front office. I probably just mailed it to "Cincinnati". But I know for a fact they got it, because a couple of weeks later I received a B&W photo of Johnny in the mail from the Reds, signed by Johnny himself.
Johnny revolutionized the catcher's position and what you could expect from a catcher, both defensively and offensively. As Sparky Anderson said, I'd never want to embarrass another catcher by comparing him to Bench.
I was born in 1955, in the Bay area!!! Growing up I didn't care about Mickie Mantel or anyone else!!! Except for WILLIE MAYS!!! All I knew was when WILLIE MAYS got up, you could expect to see a HOME RUN!!! if i could meat anyone, WILLIE MAYS would be the man!!!! Next would be DONALD TRUMP!!!!!!
