  Saludos desde Maracaibo, Venezuela. Me encanta ese reloj de tierra. Me gusta eso de que la misma linea te facilite el autobús para hacer las visitas a los sitios turisticos. Me encanta ese pueblito histórico. Mientras más miro ese tren, más me parece un casco de fútbol americano. UN salón de descanso y relajamiento muy acogedor y espacioso. Esa ciudad de noche es impresionante. Hermoso recorrido, lleno de paisajes coloridos. De verdad que es un viaje de lujo. y ,mientras más miro la locomotora de ese tren,más me parece un casco de fútbol americano.

  So let me get this straight. VIA Rail just spent how many millions revamping their railway cars so everything is efficient, and they are still crap. This is a private railway and they put all this money into fabulous rail cars and we are still stuck with crap?!!! Sometimes I hate Canada.

  鉄道車両の安全性とデザイン性の融合が、四季島ですね。若い頃は、進行方向が見える席を好んでましたが、ある時期から、進行方向とは逆の方が目が疲れず、ゆっくり景色を楽しめる事に気づきました。旅の楽しみは往きも帰りも含まれることが四季島の魅力ですね。四季島で日本一周があれば、人生最後の旅として、多くの人が考えるかも。 でも、御召列車って、漆と金箔をたくさん使った、四季島を遥かに凌ぐ内装なんだろうか？

  As someone who once wrote a 5,000 research paper on rails, the US is really falling behind. All the corporate lobbying and political conflict had made the High-Speed Rail (HSR) development slow. Signs have been shown it is starting to change, so that's good I suppose. Although it may be another 10-20 years before we can have something like a suit-style HSR in the US, and by the US I mean California, Florida, Texas, and the northeast corridor. Addition note: I would like to add that I don't know if the one shown in this video is considered as High-Speed (most likely not), but I just figure it may be interesting to share and raise awareness of the recent progress on HSR. Fun video, I hope to personally try something like that soon, maybe without traveling though (I'm broke lol).

  From Niitsu they should go to Somi, Northern Cultural Museum. Much better gardens, closer to Niitsu , designed by Ginkaku Ji gardener! The Itoh garden!

  I guess it’s semi-worth the $ for a 4 day excursion, provided you have a LOT of time off the train exploring, rather than 4 days train…ing, only.
