Welcome to the R.O.A.D. Podcast. The show gives you unfiltered opinions from the eyes and ears of 3 seasoned DJs from the Las Vegas nightclub industry. DJ Crooked and DJ Neva come to us by way of New York; Manhattan and The Bronx respectively. Both relocated to Vegas in the early 2000s to open, what was then, Light and Jet Nightclub. Crooked is known for his workhorse mentality, and high-energy DJ sets, but has never been one for the industry politics. While DJ Neva has earned his OG status due to his countless years of experience in the DJ game. In 2007, they brought a piece of home with them by founding KNYEW (an acronym for “Keeping New York Every Where), a successful clothing brand, the first of its kind to be seen in Las Vegas. Similarly, Jaime Da Great grew up in LA. Jaime, while making a huge name for himself in the sneaker industry, has shifted his focus to becoming a full-time DJ.

The younger generations have difficulty socializing in person. It is no surprise that it would come as a bit of a challenge to be able to do it in the context of a stage and the spotlight that it brings to an individual. Being personable with clients and other DJ's in the scene... It all has a major impact in your brand and your work as a DJ.
Great guest! Babu is an absolute legend. I've been a fan of Dilated since the "Work the Angles" 12 inch...
I've said this a ton of times, and this is coming from someone who started DJing in 1995 ... and I completely get the attitude that attending a DJ school is kind of corny, ... but when the teachers are certified OGs, you are a FOOL to turn down lessons. If Jimmy Hendrix offers you guitar lessons, YOU TAKE THAT OFFER! Each one of these guys has deep knowledge. Even after DJing for over 25 years I still learned a ton in the online classes. Much respect to the Beat Junkies. Coolest dudes in the game.
👑
Fellas these episodes you've been putting out are absolute gems. Thank you so much. The stories are so relatable, helpful and funny at times. The guest you are selecting are truly remarkable and in some cases under-rated. Nu-Mark, Clark-Kent, etc... As a DJ that lived a little bit of the old traditional way of DJing and now in the modern era, it is so heartening to hear their thoughts and learn for their wisdom. Nu-Mark is so fuggin cool and down to earth, I wish I could hang out with the guy and treat him to a drink. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!!!
I'm new here! I instantly subbed and am a fan from the word go!

Where can I find those shelves?
Sooooo we gone act like Work it Out wasn’t released as a single before amerie’s album? Or are we just gonna compare two girls walking down the street? Or two girls who used the same producer? I will never understand this logic.

One of my favorite DJs
I really wanted the Dj AM vinyls and slipmats but I couldn’t afford em at the time😢 but I definetly went to see the movie premiere and got the digital download…..always watch it a week before a gig for inspiration and just everything in between
Eman bred a generation of DJ’s. I was blessed to have grown up in LA on his stuff, being Filipino and Chinese made me even more proud of him and their whole crew. We were a bit spoiled with all the great radio stuff, as you guys mentioned. Much love. ❤️
Great podcast with Laz. Surprised he didn’t mention any Raheem songs for his top list of 90’s songs. Raheem was pretty big here in Dallas.
i’ve been trying to get into radio and always thought EMan and Big Boy were the pioneers, but then I learn about the baka boyz and then now damizza?! dang i’m blown away
Dope interview
