what is the difference between non executive and indipendent? dont they mean the same thing?
Non executive means you do not work in the firm on daily basis and Independent means you do not have any relationship with the firm except being a board member. So one can be a non executive but connected to the firm either as a supplier or former executive member like a retired CEO. So when we talk of non-executive and independent we mean those directors who are not working for the firm now and they are not related to the firm at all.
Great content 👌🏾
