I have been fishing, successfully, with this Guideline combo (7# Elevation Rod and Coastal Slow Intermediet Line) for two years on the west coast of Sweden and it’s never let me down. The major benefits are many, however, my favorite one is being able to cast a 7# in high winds ( 13-15 m/s) instead of having to consider the 9#. 7# has so far been the only rod I have needed, not found any need or wish to go lighter or heavier.
