  You would be amazed at how many people in this country are mixed race. It wasn't until I was 52 years old that I discovered that though I look extremely white, I have DNA that says I'm not all Caucasian-but a mix of white, Middle Eastern, Indian/Pakistani, African and Jewish ancestry. In a way, I'm not surprised. When I looked at pictures of my paternal grandmother who came from Sicily, I noted that she had a lot of the same facial features as Vivian Liberto (former wife of Johnny Cash), she was very dark complected and had remarkably curly black hair. But it's a safe bet that a lot of these celebrities-not all, play up their black ancestry because it's politically more acceptable.
