I’m on my 12th week and getting off meds cold Turkey and it’s freaking me out a little bit especially because I have POF too. I’m just hoping my body can produce the hormones it needs. I just have to trust that my body can do it. Your videos really help with my anxiety. Thank you xx

@@AmandaDawn87 Thats amazing! I've read about epigenetic and its effect on egg donor babies, and its pretty awesome. This is from a scientific paper I read the other day: "Egg donation constitutes a meeting of heredity and environment, both of which can be explained in terms of biology. There is much to suggest that the intrauterine and postnatal environment, but also the environment of upbringing, trigger epigenetic, chemical reactions that change the gene expression in the child. The social mother who carries the child in utero imparts to it a biological similarity to herself, which has a bearing on the child's mental health and intellect."

I am an egg donor and as a donor, there is something I need you to know. YOU and you alone are their mother. Yes, as donors we provide half of the child’s genetics, but that’s all we do. You carry the child, you raise them up. You are the one who is there every single day, loving and caring for them. That, right there,, well genetics got nothing on that. You are not a “social mom.” You are their “mom.” I’ve told this to the ladies I donated to as well. To their kids, I’ll always be a donor and thats what I prefer to be known as. The word “mother” is something that is earned. I hope your child will also see it this way. And if you are this ladies child looking at this comment years from now, go give your mom a hug! She is your mom and you better treat her right!
