Our first savanna monitor was exactly like him. Afternoon naps, took him for truck rides and great with children. However our second monitor that I got as a little wee baby is just viscous and will not tame down. Of course we still love him and give him everything he needs but some of them are born mean and just won't change. Lol

These enclosures are depressing and negligent. I was hoping that enclosure was a quarentine setup... but it obviously isn't. Shame on you.

What a depressing setup. I hope this is a quarantine room. Wouldn't matter anyway- since there's different sheds ontop of the enclosure. She's in contact with other snakes through the screen from the sheds, man!

Is that ball a Kong toy or something similar? Been thinking about getting my baby savannah monitor some toys but wasn’t sure what to get and Simba really seems to love his ball

About the park slides... I'm now old enough(God help me!) to remember the slides from my elementary school and the rest of the playground equipment: Slides: STEEL and STRAIGHT! The tall one was maybe 10' high and at around a 40deg angle. Polished to an almost mirror shine from all the clothed backsides going down it! (God help you if you were wearing shorts and your skin touched it - not only would your skin grab and want to tear off, on a hot sunny day the metal felt like a nice 120-130deg F! No rails except at the top of the ladder, the slide itself just had a couple inch "curbs" on either side that were like the gutter bumpers for kiddie bowling lanes. Swings: This probably still happens today, but despite our best efforts(that the playground monitors never questioned), we never got anyone I remember to manage a full 360. I vaguely recall a few broken joints & limbs from a few failed attempts when they stalled out before the peak.... Also a few from failed landings after launching into the air about 15 -20'. (I probably saw a lot more casts on my fellow students from my day than modern children.) Lastly, everything was surrounded by a bed of pea gravel, not the weird rubber mulch used today - Nurse's Office, peroxide, band-aid; now back to class. I'd continue, but I think I might start sounding like Grandpa Simpson; if I haven't already....

I'm so so so sorry for your loss of Simba..I know I'm a month late saying this..I just wanted to be sure I told you...I've been following you for a few yrs now and I know how you love your animals..and we have to be the bad guy sometimes giving them their injections or other things that may be unpleasant to them but you didn't hurt your relationship with him..I'm sure he knew u were trying to help him ❤ I'm so so sorry

I love my normal ball python ^_^ shes 1.5 year old baby we named her Donut Edit: you have a very nice, healthy snake. However that tank is way too small for her as im sure youre aware, if youre keeping her as your pet. She needs 2 hides not just one, way more space, lots of clutter. Im assuming this is temporary? Tetra is beautiful ❤

A lot of snakes don't like to be out in the open on the ground. They are aprehensive even though you know its fine and safe. Its instinctual in their brain that's when they are vulnerable. I do it too but it's also good to understand.

  • @zxqyn

That enclosure is bellow even the bare minimum for a ball python, no coverage, no climbing opportunities, too small of a water dish. This should be fixed and do more research. That’s not appropriate at all.

Shame about your other park, but at least you have the one tree and good vision here, in case dogs come over. Zelda is beautiful, so majestic, what a sweetie. I have Chagall who is 15 feet long Burmese, rescued from housing estate by some workmen. Had him 14 years now and he's just as gentle and friendly, never biitten me either. Oh bliimey, I know what you mean when they poop! Everything stops in its track, until that poop is cleaned up! Love your videos, thank you - make sure you hit the liike button everyone!🐍

I miss the trees in this park.....that's kinda boring. I am trying to take my dragon out in the sun/garden every day. Last week I took Fred, my juvenile ball python out into the garden the first time. I think he liked it. Akira, my beardie only sits there and gives me the stink eye....

I dont like it when parks are removed/replaced. Kids need space, shade and enough danger to learn how to avoid lifes pitfalls. I think you need a reptile friendly park, although I dont know what would be required.
