Is it possible to replace the fork stanchions of a Street Scrambler with longer ones i.e. 1200 XC length? That means going from 41mm to 45mm. Would I need to replace my TEC spring or just the spacer? My goal is to make the bike taller as well as having some more travel. I have already increased the rear shock length and I am very happy with the geometry.

Please, if you're planning on doing this, cover your seat with a towel or something before placing parts on it. Seat stains should only come from soiling yourself when an idiot left turns into your path of travel.

This model has 58 HP? Really?? Where do you get your figures from? And the "data" that most of the "common people aren't gonna understand"? What is that supposed to mean...you think that most people aren't as bright as YOU?! And what does "shipping weight is 480lbs, plus the weight of the bike" even mean? "The gross vehicle weight is 946". 946 what?? Still, top marks for cramming in so many errors in a video barely 6 minutes long!
@phils21804 жыл бұрын
Go back and listen to the video again. He said the shipping weight is 480lbs, THAT’S the weight of the bike. The gross vehicle weight (bike plus max load) is 946lbs, he’s just given the shipping weight in lbs so what else would it be!

Terry Vincent in sound or performance? The exhaust sounds quite different. To be fare the audio doesn’t do it justice but it’s not even sound close to the stock exhaust. It wasn’t meant to simply be loud but sound tuned, it’s not a Harley.

Do the rear shocks raise the bike at all? Is their a combo of front and rear, on these bikes, that can bring more travel for offroading?
@ronaldgarcia39336 жыл бұрын
RadGreek the rear shocks don’t raise the bike unfortunately but since this video I have taken the bike off road on some really aggressive trails and no problem what so ever with the ride height. The scrambler is amazing off road it preformed 10x better than expected. As for the front I’ve only seen a set of progressive rate springs offered. I’ve heard nothing but great things about them too.

@ronaldgarcia39336 жыл бұрын
Martin Hesketh I honestly don’t know. Buying the bike with the exhaust already installed wasn’t an option when I bought mine. I imagine it would be cheaper that way.
@johnsanford35965 жыл бұрын
Generally, it will be cheaper to buy the bike and then fit the exhaust yourself. How much you pay for the exhaust depends on your negotiating skills, but if the dealer fits it, you'll be paying for either 1/2 hour or 1 hour of labor. You won't get any credit for the stock exhaust, but you will get to keep it and sell it or switch back.

@ronaldgarcia39336 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Morse it’s hasn’t really been a big issue, it has been hot once or twice but it was mid summer while I was stopped. The heat shielding works well much better than I ever thought it would.
@bullfrogribbit6 жыл бұрын
Ronald Garcia thanks! I’m considering the bike for everyday commuter here in India, so summer time will be 100F+ in stop and go traffic. I’m just a little concerned. But otherwise the bike is perfectly suited - our roads have gravel patches all over and having the added clearance of the Scrambler vs the Street Twin will really help here. And beyond that, the scrambler’s styling is just awesome! Enjoy your Scrambler, ride safe! And many thanks!
@ronaldgarcia39336 жыл бұрын

I have seen an older model fitted with a lower exhaust ( aka just like Steve McQueen,s ) What do you reckon!!
@johnsanford35965 жыл бұрын
You would have to swap to the Street Twin / Bonnie / Street Cup exhaust headers, then any of their exhausts would likely fit, EXCEPT you might have to come up with your own exhaust hangers. I.e. it would be ALMOST a straight, painless swap.
