    I have thought of a way to add strategy to this game, which is virtually all luck and can be frustrating if you don’t get the right cards. I’ve added a second way to pick up cards, which would be having three in a row - doesn’t matter what color, just ranking. If you have three in a row horizontally vertically or diagonally, you can pick those three cards up too. That adds strategy and makes it much more fun! What do you think?

    No problem. In double solitaire two players play their games of Klondike at the very same time! You may build on ANY ace foundations - yours or your opponent's!

    3:45 you should cover the 10. okay played it once, got stuck around half way. Unless you have a rule that 3 cards can add up to 10, at least. But even with that, I got into a situation with very high and very low cards that did not add up to exactly 10. So no, it doesn't seem like a game that can be solved.

    Unlike the Canfield game: Can I move an entire row here? For example: I would have a queen of diamonds on the Tableau and on top of it a Jack of diamonds. But in another column I would have the 10 of diamonds with other lower numbered cards.

    I learned this from a different channel but with his you can only use what's in the row above the row you're in. He said that the person he learned from said you win " 3 out of 4" games. Not so with playing that way! Seeing how you're doing it, I can see how that's truly possible! My question to you, how do you proceed if you end with one or two remaining cards as you're at the end of the cards you're going through (every third card) in your hand?

  • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy
    @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy4 ай бұрын

    I would say deal off the two cards, flip them and play the face up card ( just like you would with three cards remaining). If you have one left, play it. Best of luck!!

  • @Anthony-tt3pl
    @Anthony-tt3pl4 ай бұрын

    It's not ten it's eleven. And on the initial deal, if you have a face card you can put it to the bottom of the deck. And replace it with another card. I don't know who taught you to play the game but it's wrong. Sorry I don't mean To offend.

  • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy

    Hmm. Not sure I know your game. My "ten game" was simply covering two or one cards that add up to ten. Face cards kill the pile. Whats the name of your 11 game? Curious.

    I learned to play this recently but how I learned was to start with just one card and put down as you go along, not starting with six cards layed out. I would think it doesn't really matter, maybe my way makes it a bit more risky as you don't know what's coming next. The other thing is, I think you could score yourself by - 1 from the total piles left. And play against another person with their own deck.

    The rules state should a card turn up on the pile of its own number, simply put it under and turn up the next card. If there is no next card (the pile now comprises all four cards of the pile number) take instead the top card of the next pile. If that IS THE LAST CARD of the game, then I believe you've won! What a great question! I guess it depends how old I am when you ask me. When I was young, it was "the ten game." Loved it. When I got older, my grandpa taught me Klondike and for years that was THE game. Later I got into Golf, Accordion and Australian Patience. But lately ... I'm kinda hooked on Free Cell. The idea that nearly every single deal is solvable is so compelling. How's that for a long winded answer!?!?

    I’d like to play double solitaire based on the Golf Solitaire tableau, any thoughts on how that might work? I think maybe both players could remove cards by placing them into either their own or their opponents waste pile, that way even if you’re stuck, you can keep an eye on what your opponent is doing and quickly throw a card onto his waste pile if the opportunity arises.

  • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy
