  ​@Khemani_RL that was the one i got stuck on. I was trying different things all the way until the end so ive definitely lost a mark there. Im sure its branched due to the way the question was worded but im not entirely sure

  @@djdbakfneo2971 I experimented with so many different combinations of cyclic compounds based on the molecular formula and observations and I just couldn’t get it no matter how hard I tried 😢 Well at least I probably got 4-5 marks on that question

  I got cyclopentanol, 5C, each Carbon has 2 H’s except the one directly bonded to the OH group, it has 1. That makes 9H and then 1 O and 1 H from the OH group. I knew it had to be a primary alcohol but Cyclopentanol is secondary so its defo wrong, but its the only compound that fits the Mr that isnt branched and is alicyclic.

  Predictions were somewhat similar (i.e. chromatography, 6-marker on organic qualitative analysis and structures, chiral centre), but a lot of module 2 / 3 calculations and it felt thrown together in a weird way? But thank you so much for making all of this easier James!!
