More than a dozen years ago, we went on an adventure to find cutting-edge legal professionals. We were noticing that law was changing, that lawyers were shifting away from one-size-fits-all and were becoming more values and purpose-oriented, bringing compassion, healing, peacemaking, and well-being to the profession. We thought we were making a documentary but we so enjoyed the interviews, we posted them in full. At that time, KZread had a 10-minute limit so ~1 hour interviews were uploaded in short segments. After a few years away, we've resumed our showcasing of lawyers, now called Integrative Lawyers.
Here, you'll find hundreds of mindful lawyers, collaborative lawyers, restorative justice practitioners, sharing lawyers, authors of relational contracts, leaders in therapeutic jurisprudence & problem-solving courts. Many of these predated the 2010 ABA book, Lawyers as Peacemakers, and showcase the historical evolution of the integrative law movement.

The movement towards early dispute resolution…
Great man.
I. Justice without trial, and II, Settled Out of Court
This lady is very corrupt she says she’s all about the children while she works to kill unborn children - of course the babies she helps kill are black & Hispanic !
Transcending of the win or lose mentality, I love it. Integral Consciousness "The Integral Vision" - Ken Wilbur .... will look it up, thank you so much.
Your track record is extremely bloody. The blood of children, both then and now, is your track record that is undeniable. Your conscience is nonexistent and totally desensitized. Your track record must be made known without fail. As I have stated recently, I believe what my children tell me. The abuse which you have participated in, cannot be ignored by those who have, and still carry the scars that came from your hands. To the many families that are still being decimated, your name will be synonymous with DCF, though not with affection, but with total hatred. Shame on you.
The potential offered by PISLAP might just be enough to keep me interested in practicing as a lawyer. Many thanks to Peter, Nanette and all the contributors.
This is amazing isaac kimaru. I'm proud to have been part of your journey to greatness .God continue to order your way
Amen my dude
Another liberal idiot, brought up with privilege, then rejects his upbringing, sorry Arlene and Martin!
Wonderful Woman. I take my hat off to you. And very beautiful also. ❤
In theory this sounds good, but 12 years later I have not encountered this model in the Florida courts.
Donna, would you like to make a difference in the Florida courts? Systems change takes all of us.
Maybe make updated videos giving suggestions of ways individuals can make the changes for litigants including Pro Se, attorneys, judges (lower tribunal & court of appeals), law students, paralegals, law self-help centers, state bar associations, covering topics e.g. legal procedures, process of improving depositions, mediations, forensic investigations for financial affidavits, negotiating divorce settlements initial briefs, appendixes, etc. ⚖️TY.
@Donna, check out my other work. I have books, workshops, and a lot of how-to information out there. The KZread channel was created a long time ago and is more historical at this point.
TY. The legal system is in dire need of improvement.

Well conceived and succinctly stated. An important "tip of the arrow" perspective. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for articulating this valuable perspective.
Thank you for posting! That's my Dad! xoxo
I was a student of his many years ago. He was a very fine gentleman. I was so sad to hear of his passing.
@@tapasyatyaga4041 Thank you for your comments. I am his daughter and appreciate your words so much. Are you practicing therapeutic jurisprudence in. your law work?
@@margotwinick6952 No. I remember he was soft spoken and had a kind demeanor. I admired his pro bono work as he practiced what he preached. I never felt intimidated by him as was the case with some professors who used their intellects as rapiers. He seemed to be devoid of the destructive aspects of ego while knowing who he was and the value of his self-worth. Father's Day must have been difficult for you. But if it serves to assuage the anguish of your bereavement many people remember Professor Winnick and think highly of him.
Smart guy
wow. i really responded to this. A. Francis brought me here; Peter, you made me stay.
An ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure, education is our only way of making intelligence both prevail and more importantly, survive. Judge Cohen is a light on a dark and rocky path and her wisdom leads bravely.
A remarkable insightful appreciation of the problems that cannot be addressed with punitive measures alone. I stand humbled by the wisdom and sincerity of this lady. Thank you Judge Cohen.

Thank you Judge Wren. I honor you!!!
Gee whiz Cousin Lorraine- here you are. Good on you. Merry Christmas. All Love, Mike Harris

Thanks for creating this.

Can you ask Mr.Gabel where we can hear some of his Mom's radio programs? Also can you ask him if any of the plays she was in were recorded on film?
Apparently 'spirituality is a very important element of this project and yet I really haven't heard about the practical application. Just what is meant when one says spirituality and law? This is fascinating and I want to know more.
@jph0917 yes
Two people commented that the end of the video didn't play and we've checked it a couple of times and it was fine. If you have trouble, try pausing and letting the buffer catch up.
I live in Grand Marais Minnesota and I found you on facebook via Karn Anderson. The world is fertile ground for your purpose and I am hearten to find you.
Peter was a professor of law as well as a community organizer. A brilliant individual who uses his intelligence and his knowledge of law for the common good. His parents Arlene Francis and Martin Gobel obviously did an amazing job bringing him up. We need more people like him.
The boy" his mom Arlene called '....sandwich boy ' and look at him now
What a brilliant mind. Wonderful. Re: Peter's hair. Ms. Francis was an awesome woman and if she said cut it off...I naturally agree. Mother knows best. But on a serious note, how proud she must have been of Peter.
Is this the late actress Arlene Francis' son?
Outstanding. A must for every collaborative professional.
Outstanding. A bit of living history for all.
Marty, What a beautiful discourse on what the law can be. I think I'll cite this in future applications to legal positions (I'm looking into volunteering in the drug court system in CA once I get out there). Hope to see you soon. Harry
I've seen this guy work. He's amazing. He's mastered the art of listening without taking sides, and making both parties feel heard and understood.
