I'm 65 yrs who was born in Pineville, Ky. But, due to fluctuations in the Coal industry most of our family moved up north. BUT, when we go back to Pineville, we always eat an Ingles hamburger.

I love fried green tomatoes my momma used to make them with cornmeal flour salt and pepper and in a cast iron skillet they were delicious. Sure is a once a summer treat! Go real good with a soup bean dinner with rhubarb dessert!!!!

Do you know how blessed you are to have a home to have vehicles and to have land plus a garden? You all are really so rich and I bet you don't even realize how rich you are. I am glad for you and the garden looks absolutely beautiful that's my dream but I'm too old now. I am in my fifties but a house and a garden has been my dream. It's amazing it is a blessing it's good for you and helps save so much money on food. I pray that your garden grows so much food that you have to find people to give the over abundance to. You will be amazed. Love y'all and your channel. Also can you do an update on Cumberland because I heard they tore down more buildings just recently. Be safe y'all. I'll be watching.

I tried a new way to grow taters, when you get the ground broke up and disc it just lay your taters on the ground(cut side down) and then just cover'em up with straw about 2 foot deep, when it's time harvest you just roll back the straw and pick up your taters off the ground ( no digging) ! I love me some fried green maters, I've froze'em too, just line a cookie sheet with wax paper lay your sliced green maters on top and plce in freezer, when they get good and froze, take'em off the wax paper and put'em in a zip lock baggie !!! I really appreciate Y'alls channel because it allows me to go back home ! Still got Papa in my prayers, love Y'all !!

My family and I are praying for Papa Coyote! Hope he’s feeling better. My Dad is a diabetic, same kind that Papa Coyote has. The medicine works wonders. He has to limit how much Potatoes and rice he eats. We don’t eat much rice but we do eat potatoes. He still gets to eat sweets, just small portions. Same goes with pop. Everything in moderation. Mom is the one that monitors what he eats. I know it is very important that he eats 3 meals a day and he does eat close to the same times every day. I know having a protein is good. Breakfast he can eat fried eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, he can eat a small portion of biscuits and gravy just has to have that protein with it. For lunch he eats sandwiches made with white bread, he will not eat wheat either. Supper is meat and vegetables and he does eat potatoes just a small serving. He does get to ice cream just not all he wants! We also still use real sugar, we don’t use any of the fake sugar and we just don’t do sugar free. Mom did cut back on how much sugar she puts in her tea. Hope that helps you out some. When we are out he does eat hamburgers with regular buns, chicken, fish, and other types of sandwiches. Daddy is 80 yrs old and has been diabetic for 20 yrs. Taking the medicine on time and eating 3 meals a day about the same time and having protein with every meal is what’s important

Everyone has their own opinion about a situation like this. Here is mine. When an elderly person loves certain foods and a doctor tries to eliminate those foods it can have a profound effect on that person's mental condition. Your Papa loves cornbread and buttermilk as well as pecan pie. I would never deprive him of these simple pleasures in life. You can control the amounts. This man is nearing the end of his life so please help him enjoy these simple pleasures he loves so much. You can make it a treat once or twice a week which will give him something he loves to look forward to. The doctors are doing what they can do to control his medical conditions and they mean well but I think you need to make these exceptions for Papa. I won't ramble on about it. If you doubt me.....go to him and ask him face to face what HE wants....and honor his wishes.

Do they have info why he was seeing things in the hospital or why he was acting erratic was it cause of lack of taking medicine or a cancer that went to his brain or the family does not want us to know what drove him to take his life I still enjoy his videos and am saddened because he had a huge heart and a very knowledgeable person and thoughtful soul rest in piece hobo shoestring you are missed

My mother was born in Bonny Blue. My grandfather worked the mines there. He later got a job with the railroad. They eventually moved to Big Stone Gap. My great grandfather helped establish the first methodist church there.
