We accepted an apt in NYC that needed so much work only because the rent was SO cheap (cheap for NYC). Renovations lasted a while but this apt is my pride and joy and also a great conversation starter.

Hello, I loved everything, but I would like to know what kind of paint you used for the kitchen counter and what kind of coverage to protect the paint you used, I have to fix the counter where I pay rent and I don't want to pay for a new one because it's not fair anymore that the cover that protected it no longer had it and everything that falls stains the kitchen counter.
Ok but fabric softener is really bad for you.
