His men that served under him wrote a book about him. I read the book he was the most honorable and amazing Marine ever! I would suggest anyone to read his story written by the men who served under him, the had a great love and respect for this amazing Marine!
My dad was a glider pilot during WWII. He talked about flying troops at night and how a friend of his, also a pilot, was killed one night...something to do with the tow line.
I have to say Lejeune but I’m biased because I’m related
I appreciate getting to know more about the person of our military heroes

Sabaton should make a song about this good boy
Confused. 1862 Congress authorized the MOH and officers were authorized. A few officers won two MOH's during the Civil War.
It's obvious that the founding fathers, after winning their freedom from a tyrannical great Britain, couldn't keep out of other countries problems. We won our freedom and started doing what we fought to get out of
Sad to say that we have to look so far back now, to find heros
hagiography. he wasted lives with unneeded full frontal attacks in the Pacific. his judgement was addled by the desire for revenge after his brother was killed
Don’t make em like this anymore
Heard someone called him the greatest marine to ever marined
General Puller was loved by his men
My Father Sgt. Frank Beckendorf served in the First Division 3rd Regiment. He received Four Purple Hearts. If anyone has any pictures please contact me . We lost all pictures in Hurricane Katrina
A GREAT MAN ❤
Absolutely adore the show
Marine recruits at San Diego also slap the rack and scream “Goodnight Chesty, wherever you are”
OORAH! By the way, you owe a few hundred push-ups for saying his name that many times.
TRAITOR !!!!
How the hell can a general get all that, when they are not in actual Combat is beyond me, the reason why all this general have so much deployment strip, they will visit the Theater at will to get them and not be expose to any danger, while the infantry get screw and get nothing
im sorry but Chesty Puller is most def the GOAT hands down
Most decorated is a hard sell. Chesty earned 5 Navy Crosses, and 1 DSC, however Smeldley Butler was awarded 2 Medals of Honor and the Marine Corps Brevet Medal. Dan Daly had 2 Medals of Honor, 1 Navy Cross, and 1 DSC. How do you say who was most decorated?
Smedley Butler was more than a hero he was a Democratic GOD
I was privileged enough to have befriended one of Chesty’s SGTMJ’s. Very seldom are his accomplishments traced to his days as a young officer. He loved his Marines and the only fight he lost was politics and bad health. I’m impressed that this video revealed his early years in the jungles of Haiti, a place and time that forever stayed with Chesty.
17:57 Wow he’s a Sargent? 😂
16:08 I thought it was insulting to a veteran if you refer to it as “winning” a medal and not “earning” a medal?
15:28 That can’t be healthy.
9:49 I guess “pretty brown eyed girl” was a lower bar in 1932.
4:30 I’m not being a racial, but do you really need to highlight him in that photo?
1:33 He looks like a Marine at 10yo!
Latter on chesty puller had 5 congressional medals of honor.
How about tennis for two? It was a tennis-style game made in 1958
He doesnt have two Moh like dan daly and one other.
men of Iron unlike today. me for example drug addict waster
He was a communist sympathizer, and the only evidence of the coup attempt was his testimony.
There’s no “r” in Camp Lejeune.
" I HATE-it here..."
Part of USN during time of war.
I liked the whole video....I'm a former navy man who
My father was in UDT in the Navy during Korea. He never talked about it, but he did say that UDT and the Marines always argued about who was first on the beach. I know that UDT always blew up the beachfront obstacles so the Marines could land.
The USA government knew pearl harbour was coming, just not when.
Remember this: Officers, particularly in the Navy, Army and Marines generally are decorated when they don't deserve it. So, take all of this with a grain of salt. Every branch has to have a hero, he's the Marine Corps hero. Whether or not he really earned the title of hero is debatable.
If you looked up the definition of a marine in the dictionary you would find a picture of Chester Puller.
The suggestion to read butler’s book, War is a Racket, is timely given that today we have a faction in the ruling elites calling for Permanent War. It is not just the political arena that lacks leadership today, it is also the military. What we need most now is Responsible Leadership. Trump’24 May God help us all.
It was a Coast Guardsman, Douglas Munro that helped to protect Chesty's men in Guadalcanal, Douglas Munro won the Medal of Honor for his actions, he is the only USCG member to hold that honor!!
Wow. what a story. thank you for all the work and then sharing
Thanks for your kind words.
