Nice updates!! You know i completely understand when you say you're hesitant to film things that you haven't done before. I think it's definitely worth it to take your time and film. If it sucks, then just don't publish it (I probably have a dozen videos and a couple gb of data i've never published). But yeah i totally regret not filming my early installs.

Nice review. Just to note. Having the nsx-r coolant tank cover will not stop the yellowing and cracking. I had one before and even use the oem nsxr maintenance lid. In no time the tank turn yellow and hard to see coolant level. I now use standard nsx lid and got my fourth coolant tank (first two cracked) and third yellow already. For the front vented hood, do get the radiator scoop/duct. The sunlight will crack the ABS reservoir if you still have the 91 type thry the hole in the hood. Happen to mine which cracked and leaked. I have it replaced with the 2000 nsx ABS.

  • @datgarageyo

Thanks for the info on the coolant tank. I will keep an eye on it. Also definitely the plan to get the duct for the front. Luckily my bonnet came with a rain plate that covers the vent. I will for sure keep that on now haha.

Tail lights have nothing to do with chassis code. NA1=3.0 and either auto or 5 speed manual transmission . NA2=3.2 and 6 speed manual transmission. Tail lights and front end are by model year. US for tail lights and fixed head lights is 2002-2005.

Sorry yes I misspoke. These taillights are from the facelift model. Most people in the community just refer to them as the na2 taillights (same for headlights) so I should have clarified.

The correct way to install the filter is to bolt it directly to the panel ( no pipe ) which will let you gain 1-2 inches... enough for the filter to clear the chassis and the whole install to fit perfectly in the engine bay ! Hi Scott, thanks for the message. It was actually super simple. I went through a importer called Go Garage. They have guys in Japan that personally go look at the car your interested in for you and inspect it. Then they pretty much do everything for you on your behalf to get it to Australia.

I like what you are doing with your amazing NSX. The NSX was my dream car since I saw one in person many years ago. Had money down on a corvette when I saw one in my neighborhood. Went to the man's home and he took me for a ride in his 1990 NSX. It was very clean and low mileage. I cancelled the vett and found a 1996 NSX-T. After a few years I added a Comptech supercharger, intake and full exhaust. That really gave it some pop. Two weeks ago, I felt it would be nice to get a "new" car. So, I found a 2018 Lotus 400. This car is what Honda should have built instead of their new NSX :-) I've orders a cold air intake and decat exhaust. It will take a while before I'm the driver this car deserves, but that's the fun in it, isn't it? Cheers from Florida, USA.

Actually really enjoyed watching you clean the NSX. Envy the space, water tap, high pressure and space but well done. It looks like you have clear coated the car so while easy to keep sparkling over time the UV turns it white especially on cars in the 90's. I have OEM paint which I go through all the processes and rotary polish and always place a light cover on the car in a garage which then the luster lasts about 1 1/2 yrs. The lower half of the car around the sills, bumpers are always going to have some grit so completely finish the top surfaces first. I'm sure you have a permanent smile when driving.

From the 1960's Yokohama and Nankang have worked together. The NSX doesn't shine at low speed circuits but once you over 8,000rpm and into 4th the smile begins.
