This channel is an introduction to Seicho Jutsu which literally translated means "The Art of Growing". Referring to the growth and development of oneself, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
We have provided many clips including some of our full length instructional videos ranging from 30 - 60 minutes in length. There are also video lectures on philosophy and other aspects of self development. Seicho Jutsu is limitless so we are sure there will be aspects which individuals like and dislike. Your likes and dislikes are your own limitations. Meaning some people like or dislike certain martial arts styles and forms for different reasons. We just like them all, for different reasons.

A person standing orthodox would never lead with a jab in a street fight. Theyre goin right hand for the knockout. Try again.

A person who thinks he knows what an opponent will do will be dumbfounded when attacked differently. If you watch someone doing something, then ask them to "Try again" because your going to preempt the counter, it is most likely they will do something differently. You think your getting one step ahead, but your lost when they do what you did not expect.

Interesting technique. It seems dangerous to be reaching out for strikes like that. Even if it works on the opponent at first, wouldn’t they just feint and throw a right hook, or pivot to their right and throw the cross.

I watch a lot of videos on Eastern martial art weapons. And they are often just people twirling stuff and throwing things into the air, trying to juggle the weapon like bowling pins. This is how you use a weapon as a weapon. Thank you.

I know of this guy as I went to a few of his seminars years ago. I got caught up in all the sensationalism about his history and connection with James Mistose. That was until I started to do alot of research about him because people where telling me he was a fraud. At first I didn't like what people where telling me and I never just believe what people say unless I research it without proof. Through research I found out that Bruce is one of the biggest lies in martial arts history. It was a huge disappointment for myself and others in our group. For years he has been lying about his rank and history with James Mitose. That has all been found out now finally. He claims to have learned from James Mitose but only visited him in prison only a few times according to prison log books which has been proven. Many have seen the logs. Even without log books who in their right mind would believe he learned from James Mitose in a maximum security prison ? How is that people buy the stories of him having discussions in a room with Mitose in prison and Mitose showing him concepts. They would allow that in a maximum security prison ? with a convicted murder ? I have worked in prisons and that would never happen. In the book " What is Self Defense -Mitose" it shows letters that Mitose gave to Bruce declaring him Grand Master of the art. If you look in the front of the book in small print you will see that the book was reprinted by the "Kosho Shorei Ryu punishing company" ..owned by Bruce....letters inserted in the book perhaps? When you read the book there is nothing in the book resembling the material that Bruce teaches. The book clearly demonstrates karate and jujitsu techniques in a very basic way. Where is the Kosho Ryu ? Why does no one ever see that ? Bruce’s explanation over the years has been that books show “still pictures” and it’s hard to show these things as its not movement” .The book clearly shows simple techniques none of which even remotely look like the so called “Kosho Ryu” that Bruce teaches. There is no talk about any of his theories. Take Aikido for example it is not the easiest thing to learn as it is all movement and concepts yet many books have been written for that art and discussed in detail broken down into “still pictures” showing movement so people can learn from that. The whole history of Bruce and Kosho Ryu has been fabricated. In the 1980’s he was so popular because the internet wasn’t out at that time and the world could not connect to compare notes. Today these type of frauds are exposed do to the internet with people connecting and sharing and proving information. When asked to Bruce why about the book he wrote - "why is Mitoses signature in his book he wrote erased out ?". His answer is " because so no one could copy Mitoses’ signature". What a clever why to cover a lie. Things don’t seem to match here. The reality is it’s a lie. Why do famous actors and sports people have letters and signatures in books but do not block out their signatures?... That’s why we have hand writing experts to easily determine by cross referencing that signatures are real or not...no need to cross them out in a book . Bruce talks in his videos about being true to ones self but he is the biggest twister of truth. He is a good showman and fabricator. Crazy how people follow this guy. Today alot of people have researched him and found out his lies. He doesn't have the following he had for years. Eventually people seek truth. Some know but turn a blind eye. Its sad.

This is a great series! I like the defensive details in the blocking. When I learned to block with the 6 point monk pole the bottom hand never wrapped around the whole pole to protect the hand and let the opponent’s weapon slide off for a counter. This is the only other video that teaches this in a Japanese art I have seen. Great detail and practical!

What you gonna do if the side kick comes from the front leg? I train Savate and most kicks come from the front off of a 45⁰ angle. Your defence would have put you directly in front of my kick
