Hi Sal I am subscribed to your channel. Any suggestions for one day trip from Venice other than murano, burano, padova, bologna and Verona?
Thanks for subscribing! My favorite town in the area of Venice is Bassano del Grappa. It's very charming with an old wooden covered bridge where people congregate and drink a local cocktail called the Mezzo e Mezzo. There is a free grappa museum which is interesting plus a few other museums to check out. The food is good, it's inexpensive, there are few tourists there, and it's easily reached by train from Venice. Hope that helps! Cheers.
So good ! Thanks
Hi Sal, we are one of your subscribers. We are going to Venice this coming September, Just want ask what’s the weather and temperature during that month? Thanks - Edmon and Kris
Hi Edmund and Kris. September weather is great because it's still quite warm without being scorching. The evenings are cool, too. THanks for your support!
Very true stayed in Bugnara a small village in Abruzzo just outside Sulmona in June, fantastic holiday and food to die for at a very good prices 2euro a beer, 1euro a espresso, Sulmona market local produce was a real eye opener and very inexpensive, Pancetta rolls fantastic Trains in Italy are very clean and cheap way to travel
I just looked it up and it looks lovely. It's one of the Borghi Più Belli d'Italia so with that rating you know it's going to be charming. Thanks for watching!
My great grandparents immigrated from Farindola so that will be my first trip to italy. Not to mention I really don't like being a tourist and huge crowds like that, I believe it takes away from the experience.
I had to look up Farindola because I had never heard of it, and it looks amazing as does the areas surrounding it. You will love it. And, if you look up some people you may be related to, you will be greeted with open arms. Enjoy your trip!
@@HiddenItalyTravel yeah it's a little teeny town in the mountains east of Rome. We've done some pretty good genealogy and might be able to come across some relatives.
Great information! Looking forward for more videos!
Torino è bellissima
Really helpful video. Thank you so much.
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Reach out anytime if you ever have questions.
plan to visiot Venice in December...
December is a good time to visit Venice
Thank you! Great tips!
Agree on the ATM's...Euronet is terrible everywhere :(
Thank you so much for the video, it's perfect. Was looking what to do in Turin, because next week I and my brother will travel there for about a week.
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Have a good time and come back and comment on how you liked Turin after your trip. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you
I lived in Turin and I absolutely agree with everything you said. On top of the cultural and historical aspect, is remarkable the night life with a number of clubs, discos and bars where you can experience the "apericena" (the best expression of aperitif and dinner together). Have a look at the Reggia di Venaria just a few minutes outside the city. It deserves a visit!
We will definitely be going back and will take your recommendation. Thanks for commenting!
Thank you for this video. Great information and presentation.
Can you tell me, do the shared taxis still drop you at your hotel if it is on a canal?
You have to work that out with the driver.
Great video with comprehensive, easy to follow instructions. Thank you!
I'm so glad you found it helpful. Enjoy your trip to Venice and thanks for watching!
@@HiddenItalyTravel What’s the best way to get back to Santa Lucia station from Murano? 🤩
@@rollie206 You could take the vaporetto number 3 that goes right to the train station. You can pick it up at a number of stops on Murano, but the stop that takes the least amount of time is the Murano Colonna since that's the jumping off point from the island that goes right to the train station.
@@HiddenItalyTravel I will make a note of that 😀 Thanks!
Very interesting El Beccherie - wow impressive, so you see that the other Tiramisu are just copies to find a way around the original, which seemingly has some secrets and not such easy to copy. Unfortunately Tiramisu or Panna cotta you find everywhere pushing other worthwhile Italians dolce into oblivion, like Zuppa Inglese.
Zuppa inglese is truly thye most underrated Italian dessert. You've inspired me to make a trip to Emilia Romagna to find the best one there! Thanks for the comment!
@@HiddenItalyTravel Looking forward to that, funnily I had my best Zuppa Inglese in Milano, a dream, I always like it when the waiter appears with a trolly stacked with desserts, then you have to chose..what a treat.
Grazie mille!..from Dickinson, N.D.
Why didn't you include the Traghetto as a cheap alternative?
Basically because locals are complaining about tourists taking joyrides on them. Many need them to get to work and end up waiting in line to take one. Also, as fun as the experience is, it isn't the same as taking a gondola ride through the quiet and romantic canals. However, maybe some people will read this and decide to see what the traghetto is all about. Anyway, thanks for watching and the comment!
@@HiddenItalyTravel Interesting insight. Venice seems to be struggling with the tourism monster, one they can't live with or without. Maybe they need locals only crossings similar to the Vapporetto access lanes. The city access certainly needs to more than 5 Euros if it's going to have any impact on reducing the day visitor numbers. We have 5 days there next week!
@@cakebabyman5090 Yes, it's one of those can't live with them can't live without them scenarios. It's still a great city to visit. Make sure you circle back and let me know how your trip went. 5 days is more than most people spend there so I'm curious to hear about your experience.
