    @@tomthompson7400 It definitely works. If you have a Volkswagen made car they cavity wax it liberally thus the unibody seldom ever rusts in it's lifetime. You must repair a car as in test #2 in collision repair sometimes...

    did you shake the cans more than 2-3 seconds as shown? What was in your rusting solution?

    funny. you could wipe the rust off on the fluid film side but not on the pb side???? after using both on my jeep im going back to fluid film. i see more rust after 11 months . the pb still to this day drips on my drive way on hot days and the smell was terrible for weeks after application

  • @Bzapp725

    It was brown with pb but not rusty. FF definitely smells but I did not spray a lot of pb. FF works but does wash off pretty soon.

    Huh. I just sprayed mine with Surface Shield with the garage door open and it doesn’t even really smell? I’ll have to see if it drips on hot days. I didn’t spray it on too thick

    Hey There’s also Petroleum Products rust proofing. It’s petroleum based with additional ingredients. It creeps, sticks never hardens. Probably never wash off . Excellent product.

    I'd use angle iron remove the millscale.. not a sanded but previously treated panel. ;- ) that said, the PB sure doesn't smell as bad and does resist being washed off better.

    interesting results. Maybe should have sprayed top to bottom vs right to left? I'm wondering home much fluid film ended up in the PB SS side of the test? One reason I like FF over a few of the others competing lanoline and grease type products is that you can pressure wash off an area you want to work on to get less dirty, then re-apply. WW SS FF NHOU all have pros and cons to me, but I like them all.

  • @Bzapp725
    @Bzapp725 Жыл бұрын

    Right, top to bottom would have been better but wasn't significant imo. Hadn't thought about having to wash it off. It's a nice idea.

    I find the QC of the destroyer to be total fail.. 1 in 20 fit my weapon, 17 of 20 I can fire if I push them into barrel with small tool, other 2 are deformed such that I would have to file them to get them to fit.. The issue nearly all resides in the tail of the projectile,, only a few had tip distorted, if I get my reloading gear out will mic these to see what the problem is.. Guess the red squirrels get a pass at the feeder this week as this is all we can buy locally...

    Nice shooting. Your accuracy roughly declined with your psi. You should have switched pellets on each shot for a better test. Each Mrod has accuracy nodes unique to that gun. Changes in the wind could have also been responsible for the results.

  • @Bzapp725
    @Bzapp72510 жыл бұрын

    You got that right it changes like the wind. I think I think had it tuned for 20 shots within 20 psi but I never shot the baracudas as good since.

    The higher price usually contributes to higher build quality, better fit & finish, function, and above all accuracy. If your looking at getting a low priced springer for less than $150 the Gamo Big Cat would likely be a good choice. Check out Rick Hustler's reviews , he has a channel: AirGunWeb on KZread.

    if two guns both have the same FPS, shot the same pellets what makes one better than the other? I'm looking getting my first rifle (I've had plenty of pistols) but going to start of with $150 spring rifle (Gamo Whispers or Crosman/Benjamin Nitro Pistons) they all have about 900-1000fps what makes the $300,$500, thousand dollar ones THAT much better? should't the same fps + pellet size/weight pierce the same? PCP is not an option for me...yet

    A direct lung shot or a spine shot will work just as well as a head shot and is easier to get. Also, a more accurate gun and a bigger caliber will help.

    From what i found, the wadcutters are best suited to either smaller vermin (rats and pigeon sizes) at shorter ranges of 20 to 30 metres for a clean kill as they devastate when they hit bone but they lose power and accuracy at longer ranges. The pointed are best suited to larger vermin (rabbit sized) at longer ranges for penetrating skulls, while the domed seem a good all rounder at short to medium range 20 to 50 metres they still hit the target hard plus remain fairly accurate.

    I used 3 differnet type of .22 pellets at 20 metres (RWS hobby wadcutter, Daystate Li domed; and Bisley Premier pointed) on a potato and a raw chicken leg that had gone bad to try and simulate the effects they had on live quarry. The wadcutters transfer most of their energy into the target splitting the potatoes and making the largest exit wounds in the potato and chicken the domed did similar with a smaller exit wound and the pointed produced the smallest exit wound but had greatest penetration

    You need a scope that is shockproof. I use and recommend the utg 4x32 mil dot scope. If you would like variable power go for their 3-9x32 scope. Thanks for the nice words I appreciate it xd!

    Yeah, I tuned it using the hammer spring, the hammer throw, and the transfer port. I used a method I found on marauder air rifle.com. I came up with a 34 fps spread using h&n barracudas, shooting them at 827 fps avg. 20 shots from: 2700-2100 psi.

  • @rodambluc
    @rodambluc12 жыл бұрын

    If you want more power open her up, but you will have less shots. if you like how many shots you are getting right now then keep it the same. I do think you can still get more out of you gun. Have you changed the Hammer spring?

    I recently tuned mine up a bit. Now I shoot 21.14s at avg. 827 fps. which gives me 32 ft. lbs. This is about the going rate from what I read on the forums, of course I have a .22 so is that possible with mine?
