It was really relaxing seeing you walk through all the plants. Id actually say you're quite talented at talking infront of the camera. It was very interesting and informative. Hope to see more nepenthes care videos.

So beautiful! Looking forward to my Veitchii x lowii x Mira to look like that. It’s small compared to that plant. My pitchers are about the size of their hoods. I’m guessing it’ll take a few years to get to that size. How old is that nepenthes?

Nepenthes lingulata has a gorgeous color and I'll soon look for a nepenthes with similar pitchers for my collection. Those veitchii x platichylla are further proof in my mind that veitchii as a parent can never do wrong.

It's nice to be able to hypothesize that Nepenthes gymnamhora has chubby pitchers based on the hybrid and the fact that I know what spatulata pitchers look like. I'll go check to see if I'm right.

Yep, small and chubby.

Those spectabilis x mira are so different from one another I couldn't say they were the same cross if I didn't read it. Nepenthes tobaica is very pretty, with its solid colored pitchers, I'm glad I found out about it right now!

I recently got a Nepenthes peltata 4085 from another collector who was willing to reduce the size of his collection. I wonder if it will turn out to be similar to this one.

Nepenthes klossii and Nepenthes aristolochioides have such an interesting way to capture prey, it's almost unbelievable how the same design can adapt with evolution. Those flowers are so far up I wonder what ingenious solutions you had to devise to get up there for pollination😂

The very last maxima x 'trusmadiensis' pitcher was exceptional! The bright yellow inside, the dark wavy peristome, the size! Truly perfect! burbidgeae x robcantley is an interesting highland hybrid that could potentially be easy going enough that I could keep it inside my house without many special attentions, I'm definitely adding it to my wish list.
@funnykitsune15 күн бұрын
My favorite plants from this corner are without a doubt burbidgeae x veitchii, but I'm afraid I'm biased: the crown jewel of my collection is a Nepenthes veitchii. The moss in all your pots is extremely luscious, I'm jealous! Do you reckon some plants make pitchers so big they would compromise the stability of the entire plant if they couldn't lay them on a surface like your moss trays? Or do you use them just to boost the humidity around the pitchers?
@funnykitsune15 күн бұрын
Those spatulata x robcantley show once again the different shades the same kind of plant can have depending on the individual and its age, it's truly fascinating. On another note, I was wondering how much work so many hanging pots can be. I know I prefer to keep my Nepenthes on a flat surface with something to separate the soil from the excess water instead of hanging them because it makes watering without making a mess so much easier inside my home. Perks of s greenhouse, I suppose?

One of my favourite species! I have a few small seedlings and a bigger BE-3256. I remember being at a presentation on this plant in the Hortus Botanicus in Leiden, given by Art Vogel himself, years ago. That makes the plant a bit more special for me. Q: Is the BE-3256 male or female?

The mirabilis var. globosa x hamata has been a running joke with my boyfriend and I for a while now. I first saw a picture of one where the pitcher's body was solid cream white and contrasted perfectly with the dark peristome and thought to show it to him to consider if we had the space and funds to add it to our growing collection. His response was that, with those wings, it looked like a rocket 😂 so now, that specific clone is "the rocket" to us. I'm still considering getting one for ourselves 😊
