12:54 NO it did NOT have Oxygen Sensor, we call it Air Mass Meter here in Sweden, but the E30 did not had one, the E34 and 36 had them. and broke often in the early year models, i changed two of them on two different cars. BUT i know American BMW cars could be very different motor wise compared to Europe, so a late E30 might had one. and specially if it was sold new in California?? just one example, a American E36 M3 was just a European 328 or 330 with the body looks of a M3.
@@PulkaSkurken Yea I figured this but the car had a newer header pipe with a hole for 02 sensors so how do you know if it’s tuned or w e? This was first day walk around. I knew it wasn’t all stock.
8:27 LOL, sorry for loling, but that was a bit funny tho. 😂 And you are better of with putting a new one in anyway :)
Good advice
7:30 That is a common issue on the E30, and it was common 20 years ago, powersteering leaking due to tube corrosion so the hoes dont seal it properly under pressure.
I did not know that but the hose was rotten and I fixed it.
5:39 LOL that bolt haven't had a nut for a LOONG time, iam pretty sure that lid have been solid on until thanks to old hardened dirty oil, until someone did run it warm. and the dirty oil seal was washed away with warm oil. you can drive as long you drive it like grandmother and not pushing the oil temp to slightly hot. but it has to be fixed asap!
He wants a drift car and this car was someone’s “project” he bought.
@@PulkaSkurken sorry I replied from my other account lol
No as a old Swedish BMW owner (owned and drived BMW for 20 years, now i drive VW instead. new BMWs are fugly AF.), mostly E34 and E36, you DO NOT want remove the AC unit you will never be able to get it properly sealed if you dont have all the parts and tool that the BMW Serivce garages have. its better for the system to keep it in place and keep it sealed. will only give you problems later with corrosions and other stuff. also here in Europe those old is filled with gas that is illegal to refill outside a proper BMW Service garage or like a AGA Service depot. So to make you life easier and not buying a tone of spare parts for you 1980is AC, i recommend let it sit.
@@PulkaSkurken first it’s not sealed at all. It’s also completely locked up on the pulley clutch so it should be removed. I do have equipment to catch the old R22 toxic gasses. It can be replaced with new AC unit and R134 gas non toxic. Thanks for all the comments.
What's that in the shop for? Like what the dudes plan?
@@dallasjenkins9476 guy bought this car and wanted me to turn it into a drift car projects.

I got this antique E30 in the shop and was so happy until it turned into a disaster.

Those little fins keep lifting up on me 🤦♂️😤
@@geromelenord4675 yea I know! It’s a secret. Use a longer piece and heat it well to make the stretch over them. Immediately mold around the fins. I took the piece off the mirror to do it.
I used it on my 2017 honda accord exl. It worked, but it took a lot of sanding passes
@@DAN-lo5db thanks for the comment. I love doing headlights. I reviewed a few different products.
These are 2 tips. People take stuff so serious. lol if you leave a criticism please link YOUR video of correction.
Everyone’s main complaint I’ve heard is the tip breaking easily because of poor choice of material

What year is the Audi?
@@Bionik1980 this specific one I owned was a 2000. It is basically the same on most of their models.
Sooo stock smoke or amber
@@Greenhairchris what are you talking about? lol the amber is stock. The white is LED. Then I tinted the new LED.
Not any type of water. It has to be distilled water.
@@enriqueb4412 I heard this too. I been a mechanic 22 years. I have used tap water in my mustang for 15 years with zero problems.
I like your coolant thing. When i was parts sales i tried so hard to convince people to do this. Distilled water is like a dollar. The car could take eight gallons most people would rather buy the 50/50 anyway. Cray
@@enriquesalinas8858 thank you for trying to help others. Appreciate that. Some people just love to be scammed. 🤣
I personally buy the 50/50 because my time is valuable and I prefer to just add it in and not have to worry about the ratio, mixing, and all that BS. I know its more, but i only change it once a year, saving $2 per year is just not worth the extra inconvenience.
@@linuxguy1199 great comment and a lot of people think this way. So pour in half a bottle and then 1/2 gallon water. I mean pretty quick and simple to me. Pour the entire gallon in a bucket and a gallon of water. Now you spend 30 whole seconds and spent 50% less money.
For the second tip, it’s important to remember that you need to use at least distilled water, or even better, de-ionized water to mix your concentrate, you need to factor that into the cost to see if you are really saving money. If you put hose water into your coolant you can get hydrolysis reactions in your cooling channels which can corrode your cooling channels and poke holes in your heater core.
@@nicholasyeti4851 I use filtered rain water. Or distilled water from my dehumidifier. Excellent comment though. Thanks.
I didn't know this about coolant.

How much was the lift?
We got a lift and now we are ready to upgrade.
have you ever removed the leather from a steering wheel? I'd like to swap the heating element from a 4 spoke over to 3 spoke. For whatever reason Audi didnt offer heater steering wheels on the three spokes around those model years.
