Born 1937
Loved trains since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Hope you enjoy my channel.
UPDATE. December 2021. Now over 84 years I am finding it more difficult to walk and breathing problems get worse, also due to eyesight I no longer drive. I am therefore restricted in going a lot to film railways. However, please do not forsake me as I am in the process of transferring all my VHS tape and DVD discs into WMV and storing them on to the computer. At the moment I have converted 320 railway video's ready for showing on KZread. The quality will vary and will not be up to modern day standards. On saying that there are plenty to upload recorded in the past couple of years which are up to standard. Thanks to all of you that follow me, your viewing and comments are so much appreciated.

Thought that 66 was going to block you and I guess running up the platform is out the question. Chaos usually when you're about. Keep well and keep videoing when you can.
Awww. cheers
Glad to see you managed to get out for the Aurora and Caledonian 92 drag Keith. Thank you very much for the plug too, much appreciated. I managed to get 810004 two days, but back at work now.

The best was last definitely Keith, wow factor that! 57/92 what a combination! The 57 really suits the very smart GBRf livery and delighted you caught it. I caught the the two GB 57's last Saturday at Warrington Bank Quay. Delighted you have managed to get out again. Really enjoyed this, hope you are keeping well, cheers Nick.

As long as you are able to get out, it doesn’t matter to us how far you go from home. As you say it’s all about trains! Love your commentary and the obvious wealth of knowledge behind it. Take care, stay well, and continue ‘smile-ing’.
Right on

Nice one dad, good day to be out. For those who may be inerested, 69009 worked Leicester to Kettering South Sidings (with reversal at Wellingborough) 0F59 head code, then collect EMR class 360 to take to Northampton via Wellingborough, Marston Vale Line / WCML for refurb / exams etc 5B62 head code
Thanks for the info
Greetings from Long Eaton (Trent Junction), which you passed just after Parkway station. Yes was pretty bad here with the floods, but amazingly, the road past Sawley Marina (I live just a few mins walk from there), from the back of the Harrington Arms, just ended up as one massive lake, but the new flood defences at Walker Transport (Formerly Marshalls), held up very well, and the road remained open.
Thanks for the info!

Great video and good to see you out and about !
big thank you
When I started with British Rail in 1976 at Crescent Road Yard Luton we would load Vauxhall cars onto trains for Scotland. Sometimes 'Cartic' wagons were used similar to those on the train you filmed. It brought back happy memories of those times. Great video.
Wonderful to read your words/ I was born Leagrave 1937 and age about 7/8 years watched the trains at Leagrave station. Started spotting at Luton about when we moved to Farley Hill 1954 and got sight of the two Diesels 10000 and 10001. How exciting that was,
Hope you are doing well ? Love the videos
many thanks

Glad that the weather has finally allowed you to go back out and enjoy the trains. The 69 looks great in that livery, albeit those sides are so rippled it looks awful but they're all like that.

The Class 69 seems to bear more than a passing resemblance to the HS4000 Kestrel.
