The ppl who look down at those Shaq sneakers that are in Walmart or Payless has a lot to learn. You had parents back in the day that were really pissed at these players. Most middle class ppl couldnt afford the brand name sneakers. My dad included. My father raised me by himself. I remember little league football. All 6 years i played in payless cleats. And still was a beast. Got defensive player of the year. 2 championships 1st year and last year playing. My dad couldnt buy me good cleats. So these shoes help parents out who maybe dont have as much. But there kids can still say they have on Shaqs.

Nobody ever EVER talks about this Historical Event & I even Googled it to find THIS exact thing. I don't even think I hear Sports Networks & Sports Podcasts talking about this. I remember these "Trades" were all the Buzz & everything ESPN & even TNT talked about but nowadays it's like it was completely erased from everyone's memory or historical archives. Not only do I remember this happening 2017/2018 BUT I remember Lebron attempting this ANOTHER time! Bringing in & Trading ALL different types of players from numerous Teams! Only thing is I can't pinpoint what season or what year he did this a SECOND time. Honestly? If memory serves me right, I believe the 2017/2018 season WAS actually his SECOND attempt. I feel like his First attempt to create a Super Team was earlier in his career or maybe before the 2014/2015 season. It was like a BUNCH of players suddenly got traded to the Cavs on like a 10-Day contract deal & then sent RIGHT BACK to their original Team after only a few days to a Week. It was like a bizarre & unusual extremely Weird "glitch" in the system or something, lol. I'm quite certain & almost positive that Lebron & the Cavs did this TWICE but it's somehow "untraceable" because the contracts were so short or maybe they rescinded the next day by immediately going back on their trades? I just remember it being extremely odd, weird, bizarre & suspect trade behavior. Not clear as to what year or what precisely happened but it seems the public chooses to forget about this. Wiped from the history books almost like it never happened, lol. I find all of this very strange.

The big brands cost alot because they're great quality and beneficial to your feet. Its not just the looks, or the name. I grew up super poor, and loved my Payless shoes, but $20 dollar shoes dont last long. Within two months i needed glue cause they would rip or unstick. I couldn't even afford the Spalding olajuhan shoes or shaq shoes from Payless. I had to buy attack force or pro wings. My point is, dont knock on the player or the athlete on price....they cost alot primarily cause of quality.

3:06 Not even close to Wilt's rookie season (except blocks were not tracked, but Wilt averaged more POINTS than Shaq managed in points PLUS rebounds. Then factor in Wilt OUTREBOUNDED Shaq almost 2:1). Kareem can almost say the same - 28+ points, 14+ rebounds, 4.5 assists (blocks were not tracked that season). I'm sure I can come up with a few more.

I love shaq for this because he had his shoes at Payless and my parents couldn’t afford those pumps I wanted so bad and Jordan Dub zeros.. also rebook iversons we’re crazy prices. When shaq came out with them at Payless my parents were so happy but nervous because they were cheaper but they looked just like Jordan’s and I loved shaq so he doesn’t know how much that move to make them similar is very much appreciated in the hood of Brooklyn! I was so happy to see my parents not stressed to spend money they don’t have but be able to get me cool shoes! Now I’m blessed to live in an area where Ross and outlets you can find classics for so cheap! I found my iversons Reebok for $30 I was so happy! But having Walmart shoes is such a blessing for so many! If they focused on the grip on the bottom they would be the perfect cheap shoe! Put padding and you will be good but it’s such a great move

I only wore Shaq shoes growing up since I have big feet. I wore size 10 shoes at 10 years old and Shaq shoes back then were the only shoes made for kids like me. From a poor family with big feet.. I appreciate everything that he does for people in this world. I wear size 13 shoes now so I guess I'm like a ruler short off his feet. My Dad worked for Taco Bell during the time he got the commercials with them for Taco Neck Surgery 😂 he was able to bring home one of those cool displays they used to hang in the restaurants with a life size Shaq photo on it. That thing was pretty cool to have growing up but it got ruined long ago. Still I would love to meet Shaq one day and give him a hug to Thank him for all the time he's put into helping my parents and others out there trying to keep shoes on us kids feet growing up.

I recently ordered two pairs of sneakers, Air Jordan 1s, and a pair of Shaq sneakers. Unfortunately due to the country I live in the Shaq shoes were not that cheap, but still much cheaper than Jordans.
