Looks good do you have any “Install” videos? I am getting a new “CarPlay” box, that you mentioned. Yes you lose touch, but I understand the audio is passed via “optical” vs. “aux”. Does the Andream audio sound as good as OEM? Can the audio for CarPlay be sent via Bluetooth for clearer audio? Quite an interesting 🤔 system. I might go for it if the audio is top notch. Thanks 😊 you’ve got me thinking…👍🏾✌🏾😊

My 2006 e92 330i 120k had an oil cooler gasket leak (in front of the filter housing). I now have a coolant leak from this Mickey Mouse flange caused by the oil leak speeding up deterioration of the plastic. Was not looking forward to changing the whole hose as the bottom end is way down on the thermostat so difficult to get to. Hopefully this video has given me an easier fix although may have to remove the fan to get enough room to work. Many thanks for the video really clear !

QUESTION PLEASE. (Model: 2008 E90 N54 Dual Turbo Sedan) I just ordered a new hose that attaches to the flange part that you replaced in your video. (My hose has a leak down low in the engine bay). What does the other end of that hose attach to? I cannot see where it terminates on the other end down low in the engine bay, even with the mud shield removed very hard to see. Sorry to hear you had trouble with the install, it is worth noting there are several aluminum flanges available on the Internet, and some of them are known to have issues inserting into the motor due to the wrong O-ring size. @SpeedCave Жыл бұрын
You will most likely need an extractor set, where you drill into the broken bolt and use a reverse drillbit to grab it and spin it out. You can sometimes borrow one for free at local auto stores like AutoZone or O’Reilly’s if they offer that, or just purchase a decent quality one from Amazon. Worst case have it towed to a local shop that can extract it

great video..when u bleed the coolant do u have to open the bleed screw on resivoir tank ? and the cap removed or closed when bleeding on resivoir tank? thanks great video
@SpeedCave Жыл бұрын
Before filling the reservoir with coolant I undo the bleeder screw to let air from the system escape as I fill it with coolant, then once the reservoir is full I close the bleeder screw and I leave the cap off and begin the electronic water pump bleeding process and watch for air pockets from the stream shown in the video. Alternatively you can rest the cap on top without screwing it on to prevent splatter. Either way once there are no more air pockets (usually 10min) you can run the car, just make sure to fully thread the cap back on. Thanks for watching!
