Great playing and love the sound of your banjo. Did you made a new neck? Does it have a normal scale lenght? The inlays you've used are a style B or? Anyway good job! Have a tenor one form 1923 style C too and I'm thinking of making a 5 string neck for it.
@tsavy7320Ай бұрын
Thank you! It was converted to 5-string when i bought it. They were selling it as style C. Scale lenght is excact same than my Gibsons. 13+ inch from nut to 12-fret. Yes, i like the sound. It is sure different than mastertone Gibsons and that is why i like it.

Excellent! What’s that fine sounding and very interesting and atypical mandolin? Looks old! If I had to guess I’d venture perhaps an “off brand“ Epiphone production from the 1930’s, but as I’ve never seen an Epi “quasi” F-style mandolin with a true “strapable” scroll, that’s probably wrong… A great tone that I think would have appealed to my old friend Peter Ostroushko, who eschewed the F-5 tone for the “throatier” A-Style oval hole type of mando’s, more like a bowl back tone, but with balls and projection! Your banjo playing is also equally engaging, and seems perfectly attenuated to the tune! Bravo! Love to know the story on your mandolin! Thanks! - Best regards, Glenn

Thank you very much Glenn! That mandolin i built myself. i wanted to built mandolin wich look like an old one. So, when you said it looks old, it makes me happy!😊. The form of that mandolin is quite close to old Epiphone Windsor model, but i didn’t have any drawins, so i draw the mandolin myself and built it. i Am quite happy how it looks and sounds too. Building instruments is just hobby for me.
