  This is an endless stream of propaganda about valiant Soviet soldiers ever triumphant over the fascist invaders. None of the inevitable chaos, mistakes,& terror of war. This is dishonest history. Listen to the various Japanese, German, & American memoirs fot a more honest, realistic description of war.

  I was very interested in this diary, particularly because the introduction was fairly detailed about geography, terrain, influence of the glacial surficial sediments on mobility and the impact on strategy. But when the text recognition voice started with the ‘vee, vee,, eye eye, ex, ex or the ex, ex, vee, eye core’ started, I found it all difficult enough to follow and bailed. I appreciate the effort in getting these diaries to audit, but (seriously) you need a better voice software when Roman numerals are so dominant. I don’t mind the occasional mispronunciation of words, but this inability to translate XXIu properly is frustrating. There has to be better VR software available. And anticipating inevitable critical response to my comment, I do know how to translate Roman numerals, but why should I have too while trying to follow the narrative. And the lack of just a simple map…. Why?
