HalfLifeSistah

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on what side of the world you are in!
Welcome to my channel!

I'm a retro butterfly, an empath, extrovert, a creative being, a natural entertainer and lover of people. I am currently on a musical journey, lead by my husband (a metal-head + reoccurring guest) and my Patrons. We do first-time music reviews to music from 70’s rock, Symphonic Metal, to Black Metal and beyond!

We give context and commentary before and after each song is reviewed. Sit back and enjoy this beautiful and sometimes emotional ride.

I hope you enjoy your time here.

The "newer" Accept is really good by the way. The guys are engaged politically, they have a number of anti fascists songs, songs against war, against injustice, anti weapons' industries. I can suggest at least half a dozen excellent songs

Hi guys ,, I know the song balls to the wall but I didn’t know this band , they sound just as good as any other 80s hairband😂 so wolf did you send this album back to and tell them it’s not heavy enough for you?😂! People laugh at our poser attitude in the 80s. maybe because the poser mentality of the look at me society of today has something to do with it🤔

Although I was a huge thrash fan I also loved Accept. Restless & wild, Balls to the wall, Metal heart, Russian roulette still are some of my favourite albums from that era. And Balls to the wall contains one of my top favourite metal ballads "Winter dreams".

By the end of the 80's punk had long gone and it's children the goths were pretty gone. Early 90's this new type of metal punk rap caught all of us. Just one fix was my favourite.

A woman tried a experiment to see how men were treated for 18 months and was so shocked and disgusted how she was treated by women that she ended up taking her life because of the mental health issues she ended up with. It’s hard being a man everything comes before what we need and want. We’re always last in this life 😢

lol the intro is Reign in Blood on guitar pro that made me laugh pretty hard haha. Glad yall are able to be human and soldier through all the pain. I listen to alot of really heavy metal but also nice and easy stuff...Alice in Chains is the hardest thing I've ever heard, since they blend the nasty pain in life with some real muscianship and it's a really really sad story to get into. I'm glad to see yall are able to give an honest review and are moved by it. It's art, and art moves people. Great job yall

As a man, I gave up on someone doing something for me. I lock up my emotions and just do what I have to. I have wife and kids, and they'll never know how weak I am. I'll just put on a fake smile and say I'm ok.

We don't share because we are afraid of our feelings being weaponized against us later. Or whe we open up hearing grow up or grow some skin.

In my view, Ministry aren't "industrial" per se, but rather a rock band with industrial affectations. Same with NIN and many others. If you're looking for true industrial, check out Throbbing Gristle, SPK, perhaps Nurse With Wound, Non, Dog As Master, early Test Dept etc. That, to me, is true industrial, a term which has expanded to include many liars.
