  That was pretty bad. But for the price and considering there are no other hidden winch options it is what it is. Are you going to strip the paint and reweld? I wouldn't have accepted the first one, the second one is ok. I do take into consideration that once installed you can't really see that part.

  I had it stripped and re powder coated. I think most people wouldn’t even notice or care, but I work for a metal fabrication company so I’m a bit picky. I contemplated making my own mount but I got the Bronco in October and needed a winch before the snow started to fly and $300 is hard to beat. It is a good kit I just wished they had spent a little more time on the finish work.
