I've been telling people for years now how Toyota's quality has slipped since the early 2000s. No one listened..Now this. 😂 I went through 3 Toyotas, finally learned my lesson.
Just ordered my AT4Ws for my frontier! Thanks for this video!
Toyota, please develop a conversion kit and give everyone V8s
"Engine Stall" = Complete blown engine.
From the information you told me, you must live in northern Idaho or maybe around western Idaho.
West 🙌
Looking to do KO3 or Toyo ATIII. 295/70/18 or 285/70/18 on my tundra. Mostly on road driving. Occasional off-road on light trials, dirt roads. What one should I go with? Live in the NE so so have to deal with snow/Ice.
Of snow and Ice a lot… I’d go FalkenAT4W, between the two you are looking at I’d go KO3
It's very satisfying to see a manufacturer that should make vehicles for their own people, just like the U.S. does struggle. Especially when stealing Fords engine proves to be very difficult. Ford worked very hard to produce their ecoboost. Stealing the shitty design however, well, GM has you covered! Get on back home Toyota so our non patriotic citizens can work on being an American again.
At least they are trying to do something about it. Subscribed
The calvary did use small cannon out west
We have 478,000 miles in ours out back
If you're really interested in finding out I would reach out to the local college if they have an archeologist or historian who would be willing to date it for you. If it's not US made during the campaigns against indigenous Americans its possible it might be British colonial as the British controlled a chunk of the PNW that i think included parts of Wash state, Oregon and Idaho until 1846. The main artillery for the Indian Wars was the m1841 howitzer which to my knowledge shot 12lb shells. Therefore, it could also have been used as grape shot for a larger cannon. Grape shot for a 32lb gun is about 3lbs and measures 2.86-2.9 inches in diameter and weighs just over three pounds.
The new tundra is now made in Mexico.
Thank you for an intelligently presented video. Much appreciated.
If you’re in California, lemon law this bullshit.
Videos and pictures never seem to do it justice. I brought a bunch of camera gear on my last Moab trip and spent ages editing...one of those places where you just have to be there.
So true!
Red spider mites are found in grass too.
GM would tell you to stuff it!
This is why I went coyote y’all can keep those turbo sixes.
Junk.
This Could Be a Mess??? What are you talking about, when is the last time Toyota didnt stand behind something they built. Ive been a Toyota Dealer for 16 years and couldnt ask for a better corporation to deal with
The mess is everyone trying to get their vehicle fixed at the same time... its not that hard to comprehend... also the mess is they just told everyone their engines potentially have problems but have no Remedy yet... that alone is a mess if you are an owner right now... Just try and use a little imagination and put yourself in the shoes of a customer... its not that hard.
Recalling an engine and replacing it with the same "DEFECTIVE BY DESIGN" engine is NOT THE SOLUTION. RECALL AND BUY BACK EVERY VEHICLE BUILT WITH THAT ENGINE... cuz Toyota doesnt have a competent engine to continue with these models. They just lost a tremendous amount of consumer confidence in their products.
After 5 4Runners & customer loyalty for 20 years, I’m pumping the brakes… Toyota had to go woke & try to get blown 4 & 6 cylinders to do the work of high torque V8’s & V6’s… I hope those engines pop like popcorn & Toyota learns a lesson along with the Cult worship buyers that know this was the wrong direction for Toyota…
Dated?! Who cares, if aint broke dont fix it.
Current events seem to agree with you… kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqxr2Keon5u9fKg.htmlsi=sT09tnobQt3IPrjo
The at4w looks better and is wider, BUT the weight!? That tire is a porker! In this battle, bfg for me just because of the weight
Keep on downsizing engines in full size trucks and start putting in turbos that run gasoline turbos and you will be having problems
Jesus.Less than 1% of the engines have had issues. People need to chill
This is the end of the Tundra, who would buy it.
Dude, Toyota is doomed. They're not listening to their customers. Their stock is going to plunge downward. If I had their stock, I would sell it
I’ve been posting for almost a year to stay away from the new Tundra. My 2022 blew at 28,000 miles. Toyota was aware of this since mid 2022 and has been covering up the main bearing issue. Toyota will not replace the engine with a long block they provide the dealers with short blocks to rebuild, crazy. The cost of my rebuild was $32,000. Needless to say, I started the Lemon Law claim the same week it blew up. Six months later I received my buyback check. Stay far far away from the new Tundra!
Can u imagine if u were out of warranty 🙈🙈🙈
Stay away from Toyota.
Toyoya don’t how to make good turbo engine like the Honda
my mom once found a cannon ball then her history teacher friend saw it and asked "why are you keeping an old gate decoration?" 😂
I’ll probably find out mine is something like that some day…
Opinion on the Baja boss in SL rating vs the E1 rating you reviewed? E1 rating is a dramatic overkill for most people who only do light to medium offroading. Particularly interested in how you think it compares to something like the KO2 or AT3/W
You can't have too many Land Cruisers.....
wait until the turbo four cylinders are out.
Mistake #3. Guilty!!! Still have my nerf bars/running boards on my 2021 4Runner Off Road Premium. It came that way from the factory. Went to Death Valley and got pretty banged up on the Escape Trail. Made it thru Goler Wash and Mengel Pass as well. The running boards on both sides are bent up in spots. I'm keeping them this way until I can afford real sliders. It's sort of a badge of honor. Skid plates got banged up too, but all of the stuff underneath is still fine. Like you, I found a rock wedged between the skid plate and the oil pan.
Tires are getting expensive like everything else. I wanted a set of ko3s for my fj in 287/70R17s. My wholesale price is 354.00each. No way I m paying that kind if money for tires.
They don't look as good
Been running AT3W on my 2020 F250 Tremor in western Washington and love them. I will be watching the KO3’s reviews over the next two years, I like the changes they’ve made
Made in Thailand, no thanks.
Probably an old fashion baseball
They need to recall that big black plastic nose on that thing. Its hideous.
What u think about the new Good Year Wrangler RT ?
Sure glad I bought a 2021 sequoia with at old reliable 5.7L V8 They just aren’t building them like that anymore. Once you test drive one everything else will feel like cheap garbage.
Could this knock Toyota off its pedestal as the pickup preferred by terrorists worldwide?
It’s tough to do something like being sure that all of the machining debris is cleaned out after building stuff for 100 years It will never be the same after forcing a tech to replace these engines on flat rate
Toyota send hilux to USA…..gringos Need this machines
Does this affect the hybrid models?
I'm thinking of purchasing a new Nissan Titan. I have a 20 2004 that I put $373,000 mi on. I replaced the rack and pinion still running great. what do you think about the Nissan Titan 2023 2024? we're not making it anymore but I love the truck. I need your opinion if it's a great truck, especially the new ones thanks
Go ahead and buy the Titan. If you hate cylinder deactivation, this would be the BEST option possible- excellent value for money that too- proven N/A engine.
Why I bought a 2020 5.7
