    I've been telling people for years now how Toyota's quality has slipped since the early 2000s. No one listened..Now this. 😂 I went through 3 Toyotas, finally learned my lesson.

    Looking to do KO3 or Toyo ATIII. 295/70/18 or 285/70/18 on my tundra. Mostly on road driving. Occasional off-road on light trials, dirt roads. What one should I go with? Live in the NE so so have to deal with snow/Ice.

    Of snow and Ice a lot… I’d go FalkenAT4W, between the two you are looking at I’d go KO3

    It's very satisfying to see a manufacturer that should make vehicles for their own people, just like the U.S. does struggle. Especially when stealing Fords engine proves to be very difficult. Ford worked very hard to produce their ecoboost. Stealing the shitty design however, well, GM has you covered! Get on back home Toyota so our non patriotic citizens can work on being an American again.

    If you're really interested in finding out I would reach out to the local college if they have an archeologist or historian who would be willing to date it for you. If it's not US made during the campaigns against indigenous Americans its possible it might be British colonial as the British controlled a chunk of the PNW that i think included parts of Wash state, Oregon and Idaho until 1846. The main artillery for the Indian Wars was the m1841 howitzer which to my knowledge shot 12lb shells. Therefore, it could also have been used as grape shot for a larger cannon. Grape shot for a 32lb gun is about 3lbs and measures 2.86-2.9 inches in diameter and weighs just over three pounds.

    This Could Be a Mess??? What are you talking about, when is the last time Toyota didnt stand behind something they built. Ive been a Toyota Dealer for 16 years and couldnt ask for a better corporation to deal with

  • @OutdoorAuto
    @OutdoorAuto23 сағат бұрын

    The mess is everyone trying to get their vehicle fixed at the same time... its not that hard to comprehend... also the mess is they just told everyone their engines potentially have problems but have no Remedy yet... that alone is a mess if you are an owner right now... Just try and use a little imagination and put yourself in the shoes of a customer... its not that hard.

    Recalling an engine and replacing it with the same "DEFECTIVE BY DESIGN" engine is NOT THE SOLUTION. RECALL AND BUY BACK EVERY VEHICLE BUILT WITH THAT ENGINE... cuz Toyota doesnt have a competent engine to continue with these models. They just lost a tremendous amount of consumer confidence in their products.

    After 5 4Runners & customer loyalty for 20 years, I’m pumping the brakes… Toyota had to go woke & try to get blown 4 & 6 cylinders to do the work of high torque V8’s & V6’s… I hope those engines pop like popcorn & Toyota learns a lesson along with the Cult worship buyers that know this was the wrong direction for Toyota…

    I’ve been posting for almost a year to stay away from the new Tundra. My 2022 blew at 28,000 miles. Toyota was aware of this since mid 2022 and has been covering up the main bearing issue. Toyota will not replace the engine with a long block they provide the dealers with short blocks to rebuild, crazy. The cost of my rebuild was $32,000. Needless to say, I started the Lemon Law claim the same week it blew up. Six months later I received my buyback check. Stay far far away from the new Tundra!

    Opinion on the Baja boss in SL rating vs the E1 rating you reviewed? E1 rating is a dramatic overkill for most people who only do light to medium offroading. Particularly interested in how you think it compares to something like the KO2 or AT3/W

    Mistake #3. Guilty!!! Still have my nerf bars/running boards on my 2021 4Runner Off Road Premium. It came that way from the factory. Went to Death Valley and got pretty banged up on the Escape Trail. Made it thru Goler Wash and Mengel Pass as well. The running boards on both sides are bent up in spots. I'm keeping them this way until I can afford real sliders. It's sort of a badge of honor. Skid plates got banged up too, but all of the stuff underneath is still fine. Like you, I found a rock wedged between the skid plate and the oil pan.
