  Yeah, I feel that it's make or break for Hunter against Chaney on 6th June (not May, Michael!)! You make good points about how a period of inactivity can hinder a boxer;s career. Maybe Hunter can gain still some traction again?

  Larry Holmes is a cool guy and one of my favorites ever. But for whatever reason, he's always had it out for Tyson. Tyson is always the guy that gets judged way past his prime. How come Ali is never judged for how horrible he fought the last several years? Great and candid interview, but kind of lost credibility when he said Marciano would've knocked Tyson out, calling him a "little guy". Just because Mike wasn't a 6 footer, doesn't mean he was a little guy. He was always between 218-222 in his prime, and had a MASSIVE neck. Marciano was about 185 lbs. Great fighter yes, but a prime Mike Tyson would have destroyed him. I think Larry's just a little salty because Tyson was the only fighter who ever stopped him. In fact, he absolutely destroyed him, much worse than Holmes beat an over the hill Ali.

  The first Arthur Yarde fight was sold as a title eliminator to fight Joe Smith Jnr, but clearly it was really set up as a launch pad for Yarde to get another title shot. Lyndon Arthur was the Commonwealth champion and having won the first fight defending his title earned his shot, but clearly he had to beat Yarde twice to get the opportunity. Had Yarde won the first fight there would have been no rematch despite Arthur losing his commonwealth title. Clearly the plan was to manoeuver Yarde into a title shot and it was never a real title shot eliminator.

  Never gives Tyson his just due ever..prime Tyson gives Ali hell. KOs Norton and Frazier. Foreman would be a war, but I pick tyson. Ali and prime Holmes gives Tyson trouble tho. Tough picks. Prime Tyson was unreal !!

  @@rem1762 no way marciano couldnt put down ted lowery who was naturally an ex middleweight and have double digit losses and marciano never put him away ,he went the distance twice with marciano and was robbed on both occassions

  I thought that his much heralded jab was overrated but he was still a great Champion.
